The installation was nice. The entance fee includes a guide which we had to wait for 15-20 minutes. After all he walked with us some 30 meters and explained about one old tree. After that he went on his way. The set up is one big souvenire shop, so if you are into that this is your place.

Aripuca is the name of a small animals trap, used hundreds of years ago by the Guaranies, the first nation of the region. A local family made a giant copy of this trap with big trees recovered from the jungle.
Nice place to visit.

We visited this place on Chistamas day, as Guira Oga was closed. It was simply interesting, that's all.

This is a complete waste of time! Upon arrival we had to wait for one barely enlish speaking person to give us our "guided tour" from the gate. He did not move 15 meters. Told us what their is to see and pointed out the Redwood trees and that it should not be confused with the Californian Redwoods, showed us a typical jungle trap and a huge impresive builing dedicated to the trap, then instructed us to walk around on a "then self guided tour" which meant noting with no indication what you are looking at and said that we have a 1 hour there!!!! Well we were done in 10. Even though the buildings were impresive, the lack of guide information completely spoiled this place. The tour is $15 pesos..... save your money.

We feel like we wasted 2 hours of our life here. I was all very weird and confusing. We paid for our tickets which we thought included a tour. We were met by a guy who spoke poor English, he told us this tree was thousand of years old, and then he said "enjoy!"

We looked at each other and questioned if THAT was our tour?

Then we saw some native Indian kids who looked liked they were being forced to sing and dance for these gringo tourists for tips. It was a sad shame. The kids were not having fun.

There are more gift shops there than anything to see. You essentially are paying an entrance into many gift shops that you have to pay for things again.

I could have really done without this experience. A must miss.
