My partner and I travel a lot and like to stay in higher end, boutique places. We do not like huge places like the Sheraton Iguazu. Loi Suites comes very close to getting it right. At over 120 rooms, it's not small, but the buildings are broken up so it dorsn't feel so big. The location is secluded, so much so that we saw monkeys and tons of birds from our balcony. It's between the falls and the town. The pools are gorgeous. Service was friendly and efficient. The rooms are nicely appointed but the all the room types below the suite level (i.e Superior rooms and below) are somewhat dark and small, and they have no view. We ended up upgrading to a suite. The suites have an indoor/outdoor shower and outdoor jacuzzi, which was lovely. The spa also looked lovely but we didn't partake. As others have said, the food is only so-so. Breakfast had many options, but nothing was delicious. Dinner choices sounded good on the menu but ended up being rather bland. Portions were small in a country known for huge portions. The wine list was nice. In fairness, we ate at restaurants in town that others recommended and they were no better Overall, Loi Suites is a nice choice for those looking for a high end boutique-style property in Iguazu, but you probably won't be blown away.

We stayed recently at Loi suites and had a villa. Nice format but the outside jacuzzi isn't more than an eye-opener because it is full of bugs (yes, you are in a jungle).
Overall this hotel is OK but nothing more. We are vegetarians and the restaurant did his best to cater for us so that's no problem. We didn't have any problems in Buenos Aires to get some vegetarian food so South-America is changing for the best.
The bed is very good and the shower in our villa is to die for. Really, it is a real high pressure shower which we enjoyed. If you are for a few days in Iguasu this is a nice hotel to stay.
What we didn't like was the bar in the lobby which was real awful. This hotel looses money with a bar like this, so please have it professionaly redone because it needs a lot of TLC.
The pools are nice (but very cold water) and the wooden deck makes a lot of noise when someone walks on it. If you are trying to rest on a bed you are wakened by the noise of a dinosaur when someone walks on the deck.

And now the thing we really didn't like:
at noon we ordered a bottle of whine Trumpeter. No problem.
At night however we ordered the same bottle and the waiter said it was sold out.
So... we ordered a more expensive bottle of whine.
Next day (at noon) we ordered again a bottle of Trumpeter and ... no problem, it was available.
And... yes, you guessed it right, the same evening the Trumpeter was sold out.
After making remarks to the staff they said it was the policy of the management of not selling the cheaper bottles of whine in the evening.
Is this the way business should be done?

Well, I would rather stay in a mass-hotel like Sheraton than being ripped of for a simple bottle of whine. So, hopefully the management reads this review and thinks again about ripping of customers.

Belgium.

My husband and I spent our Valentine getaway in Iguazu at Loi Suites--the best decision we've ever made! We got our own Villa, which was deep in the rain forest overlooking the river. It was more expensive than our previously booked Superior room but it was worth every penny. It was very spacious, quiet, and romantic. The decor was very Jungle Chic which was beautiful and appropriate for the setting. We had our own deck where we hung out and spend quality time just the two of us. The only sound we hear were the water flowing from the river and birds. One morning, we got up really early and saw a whole clan of wild raccoons walking around our Villa. They were really cute and I got some nice photos through our the window. That's the cool thing about this Hotel, you get to see many wild harmless animals just doing their own thing.

Overall, the hotel was beautiful. We loved the pool and the food. We had the most delicious palm heart salad with smoked river fish at the poolside bar. I even tried making this salad when I got home. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant one night and it was fantastic. Great food and nice wine selection. We can't wait to have kids so we can return to Iguazu. They would love it here!

Room Tip: Try to get a Villa if you can. It's very quiet and beautiful. The best sleep we've ever had...

The cascading swimming pools are beatifully integrated into the jungle setting and are this hotel's best feature. The pale green color only enhances the natural feel. Did not find any evidence of it being dirty although a bird did poop on my chair from a branch above me.
The rooms are very nice also. Food fairly average and many of the staff speak little english which may lend them the appearance of being unfriendly to some. The reception staff is quite helpful though.
It's a great place to spend relaxing by the pool with a good book especially in the mornings when the hotel is pretty empty.
The only caveat is that there seem to be periods when the hotel is taken over by large groups but that was not the case with us.
If your only purpose is to see the falls, however, then this is not the place for you. Need to take taxis everywhere and they are fairly expensive.
The most efficient way to see the falls is to spend a night or two at the Sheraton inside the Park and then to see the Brasilian side the following morning before flying out from there.

staying here was magnificent. the buildings are beautiful, the pool in particular. the rooms are comfortable and indulgent. however DO NOT EXPECT 5 star service. restaurant and bar staff are slow and lazy, often give attitude or choose to ignore customers while they sit around and chat. this is not the case for the reception staff and concierge however who were all more then helpful. certainly very disappointing service in all restaurants however I would still certainly come back here to stay as it is a very beautiful and relaxing resort.

a real 5star hotel in the pluvial forrest, very attractive the swimming pool and the rooms are really high profiled, the service is good, the restaurant is very good, but not when is active as buffet only.
this hotel is globally at top and definitely I would suggest it.
the panorama of trees in the forest is something unusual, even the wooden bridges similar to tibetan ones are effective.
relaxing in the rooms, social and enjoy in the swimming pool area.

A place to relax and enjoy the nature. Lovely room, with a nice tub, great shower, amenities, safe, chairs to look at the jungle and a beautiful book inviting us to know more about Argentina.
The pool it`s the best part. It`s beautiful.
The service was ok.
You have an acess to the river, but the stairs require good health, lol.
