“Great Service - I recommend this to anyone visiting this area”
Reviewed 13 February 2013

My wife and I visited this hotel for 4 nights.

I spent considerable time searching for hotels and finally opted for this one.
My main concerns were the comments on service; Having spent 4 nights there, I can tell you this was not an issue at all. As all hotels, depending on how many people are checking in, it will take more or less time. In our case it was a matter of no more than 10 minutes and the girl at the desk was very welcoming. We were then escorted to the room.

The hotel is beautiful, you will see from the pictures already posted here. No need to further elaborate other than I it takes around 10 minutes to drive there from the main road, for a total of around 30min from the airport. It is really immersed in the jungle, on a slope up from the river.

The room is big, comfortable and modern. They used a lot of wood in the room, which I loved. We took the cheapest of the room options and it was a great choice. We didn't have any balcony through. The beds are king size and really comfortable. Some people complained on the bathroom: my experience was very positive especially the shower: it is very spacious. The doors though it is true have a slight gap between the wall and the edge of the door, but it was not an issue for us... so unless you are the kind of person who needs a toilet completely "Hermetic" this should not be an issue. The room is also equipped with a bathtub, separated from the shower.

The breakfast is great. It has cereals, yogurt, croissants, cakes, bacon, eggs, bread, orange juice etc... It runs from 7h30 to 10h30.

The pool is also great, but if the hotel is full be sure to get your place early. We cam back from Iguazu falls and we had a hard time finding a bed. The only issue I would point out, based on my experience and which is not really controlable from the hotel staff, are the clients themselves: we had a group of loud Brazilians who drank all afternoon shouting and jumping into the pool. So in terms of tranquility, it will be a hit and miss affair depending on who is in the hotel... so this is just a word of caution in case you are hoping the hotel is only for couples, it is not: you could have noisy families there as well.

I also tried the SPA. I did a "masaje descontracturante" which cost 320 pesos and lasted 50 minutes. It was very good and the facilities are great as well. You are welcomed with a refreshing smell of plants and the changing room is equipped with sauna and shower. I also noticed some rooms had jaccuzi (which I didnt test).

I had noticed during my reading the comments that some people had moaned about the service at the bar next to the pool. I personally had a good experience. The staff was active and the few delays we had was because the hotel was full and people were ordering all over the place. I think they did a good job given the amount of people. the menu here is the same as the one for dinner.

The restaurant for dinner was very good as well. I noticed comments mentioning that it was too expensive. I agree that the prices are higher than in town. However, to go into town you either need a car or take a cab: you cant walk there, it is too far. In addition if you drive (we had rented a car), the traffic can be bad in the evening. We had long traffic jams trying to get in. The only night we eat out, was to go to the Jasy Hotel which was very good, but didnt spend a lot less than the other nights in the Loi suites for dinner. To give you an idea, at the Jasy we paid 220 pesos for a beer, a lemonde, a glass of red wine, a water, a fix and chips and a spaghetti bolognaise. In the Loi suites we paid around 280 pesos for two starters, a "pollo relleno", risotto, a glass of red wine and a water. the difference is around 10dollars, but at least you didnt have to fight the traffic.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting that area.

Room Tip: - Defenitely try the SPA, its really worth it! - Get your place early at the Swimming pool.

Being that my friend and I were only staying in Iguazu for 2 days/1 night, we were just looking for a nice, clean place to call home and crash at the end of the day. Loi Suites sounded like a business hotel or something, but it turned out to be much more.

This hotel is very much off the beaten path, tucked away in the wilderness which you access by a long and windy road through the forest.

The resort itself is very beautiful. With canopy bridges and walkways connecting the various parts, you really experience the amazing nature around it. Most impressive, however, was the gorgeous pool. Once we arrived, we wished we planned more time to just hang out and enjoy the giant pool, which literally runs right up into the forest.

The rooms were large, modern, and very well appointed, with huge luxurious bathrooms and a nice tv.

The service was also great: friendly and attentive.

Downsides:
It's pretty remote and takes a few extra minutes to reach, and is a little pricey to go back and forth from by taxi.

The property is quite large, so those who don't like walking should request a room close to reception or on a ground floor.

All in all, this was a great resort in which I wish I had more time to experience.

We stayed here for two nights, but had a special rate from a high end travel agency where our son works in BA. It was still very expensive. Our room with a balcony was nicely furnished and surrounded by jungle. We enjoyed crossing two suspension bridges to get to our room. The grounds are gorgeous and the swimming pool is lovely and in an amazing setting. However, it is very expensive to travel back and forth from the national park or the town, around $50 round trip. Most of the staff was very helpful, but the wait staff in the Tiki Bar by the pool was extremely slow. There was one woman who supervised staff at the Tiki Bar who was especially rude and treated foreign guests in a condescending manner. The breakfast buffet was excellent every morning. Free wifi should be included in the price of the room.

Gorgeous hotel with Loi Suites' trademark, worldly, pan-Asian vibe. Swinging bridges connect the buildings with jungle sounds all around. The spa and pools are particularly serene and beautiful. However, just be warned: it is a secluded resort, and not close to the town of Iguazu. And, as other travellers have noted, it is expensive with free wifi only in the lobby area.

The staff at the hotel doesn't provide a 5-star service. They don't seem to use 'do not disturb' signs. They feel they can walk into your room anytime (they came into ours while we were in the jacuzzi and while we were sleeping!!). They charge you for wifi on the rooms. And the bar needs a new chef, food wasn't good and it took for ever to get it.

We adored this hotel. From the moment we walked in we just went "phewwf". Had stayed in so many other crappy places on our Brazil trip before walking in here and semi rejoicing. It has a lovely entry reception area. In fact the whole resort is really nicely designed. We did not realize we would be charged an extra tax upon the prices quoted. We ended up paying $20 US more than the quoted prices on booking.com. Weren't too happy about that.

The rooms are fabulous and spacious and nicely furnished. The floors and real wood and the bathrooms are top quality. We slept very well. I liked the blue cheese salad, it was fresh and the cheese was always fresh too despite the hotel being in the middle of a jungle in Argentina. The pool area was great and the outlook is really lovely. It is just as it looks in the photos. They need more seats though by the pool area because large families just took over the best spots and it was hard to sit anywhere.

Overall, great hotel but just REALLY EXPENSIVE. Ended up blowing around $500 US for just 2 days. Won't return as we didn't feel it was good enough value and would prefer to spend that money in other places which give you more bang for your buck.

Room Tip: They are all good.

We took a taxi to this hotel in the jungle. You meet a fantastic place with top rooms, top pools and a beautiful setting. We immideately thought this is a top place. But then you start to realize that you will not get the service you expect at an expensive hotel like this. Iguazu is a turistic place with international vistors. They could barely speak english at the reception and not at all, other places. The breakfast was very good, but the lunch and dinner dishes we got were low quality. And you feel stuck in the jungle. Taxi to the city costs around 15USD one way, so it is possible to go out for dinner. Taxi to the Iguazu park costed us 45 USD with pickup at the gate of the park. Taxi to the brazilian airport 35 USD. Have enough cash before you get here. The hotel will not help you at all and the taxi only take cash. Also keep track of what you charge to the room. The bill when you leave can be higher than you expected. And finally, stay away from the internet service in the room. They charge 30 USD per person per 48 hours. There is actually free internet in the lobby that ou can use. Surpricingly, you get the bill in Brazilian real although you are in Argentina. This can be quite confusing and you do not get a good exchange rate of course.
