“Nice - if you can stand the bed bugs”
Reviewed 8 August 2011

I was quite surprised to find such a good hostel for sich a cheap price.
When I woke up the next morning I knew that I had paid an extra price: I had bed bug bites all over. No wonder, the facilities are not very clean.
The breakfast is great, still.

I stayed in this hostel for 3 nights in early August, and was happy with the staff's service mindset. First, they were flexible to reduce the price for a private double room since I was travelling alone, and they also allowed me to pay in mixture of USD and pesos. They were also accommodating enough to extend my check out time on the last day.

The private room is quite good as it has hot showers, cable TV and plenty of electricity outlets. (The only complaint is the pillow is a bit too hard). The complimentary buffet breakfast is great with cereals, eggs, fruit juice, bread, milk and tea/coffee. The kitchen is adequate for simple cooking, though the electric hotplate takes too long to heat up.

Overall, I am satisfied with the stay experience, and would recommend this hostel.

Stayed only for a day and a half. Staff was very friendly and Dennis speaks very good English. Great for people who speak as poor Spanish as me :)
Our room was fine and clean, bathroom had everything it needed, kitchen was alright - could use a bit more stuff. Great outdoor terrace! Cheap drinks and ok breakfast.
Only unfortunate thing was that there weren't a lot of people, but that was the same thing throughout the town.

The room needs to be updated badly. Carpets are overdue to be replaced. Beds were not comfortable. I did not have a good sleep there. Everything else was great.

Room Tip: Many other hostels would be better

Although this promised much it was awful. From the time of booking in (our room wasnt ready) to arriving back to the hostel after a day out at the Falls which followed 16hours travel from Buenos Aires, our room had been chaned from the one we had signed in to.

We arrived in to the 6bed dorm and were delighted to see we were the only ones to be there so we all showered at leisure and got ready for dinner even though we were concerned about the lack of bed linen (which we collected without any issue from reception). My friend woke in the night to the tell tale signs of bed bugs. SHe got up and insisted on being moved at 5am and was placed in a dorm room with far more facilities than ours...!

In hindsight it looked as if our room had been closed off for a reason (no bed linen, lockers etc) and I woke and lifted my pillow and found a large adult sized bug who had bitten me at least 30times during the night...

Staff were nonplussed although they did not charge us for the night but did NOT refund the deposit we paid through an affiliated hostel in buenos Aires...PAX hostel

Do not go to STOP...it will ruin your visit to the Amazing Iguazu falls and that amazing part of Argentina...

I really feel that our change of rooms was strange...we ended up in a room that looked like no one had been in there in years...and then we discovered why...room 12!

Nice hostel, the kitchen is small but clean. The carpet is a little disavantge in the room as keeps it warmer and keeps all the smell. Personal is friendly and helpful. You can use the swimming room in the front hostel but it is very small. It is a good choice and quite cheap

The staff is very helpfull and like sharing stories, and the speak very good english. The one lady even "teached" us how to drink mate. The location is good, in town so you do not have to take a bus around, just to the falls. A super mecado is about 100m away and there is a lot of resturants around. They have a buffet dinner for a very nice price.
