We stayed in a private room which was a bit pricey but all hostels in Igazau are more expensive than what we've been used to paying. Fernando, the guy at reception was very welcoming and made the effort to remember our names, which gave our stay a personal feel. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The hostel was very near to the bus station and only a short walk to the town centre.

Stayed here in Oct 2012 for 2 nights in a 4 bed dorm.

The dorm room was a reasonable size but there were no lockers to put your things into. The room was not very clean and could do with a lick of paint. The beds were fine. The bathrooms were poorly maintained with mould in the shower and needed to be cleaned properly.

Breakfast was not great, some tea/coffee, bread and pastries none of which was that tasty.

The hostel is located about 5 minutes walk from the village which is handy and the guy at the desk was very friendly and helpful.

I paid 90 pesos a night (could have paid less if dollars were used at 6.50/dollar) for a bed in an empty four-person dorm. I found all four beds clean and free of bed bugs, which others have reported here. (Note to hostel: replacing the wooden bunks and storage spaces with metal bunks and lockers would basically solve your bed bug problem.)

For the price, I felt like it was a fair, but unexceptional value. Bed was comfortable, showers were hot, staff was friendly, breakfast was adequate.

Would have been nice to have some directions in the room about operating the a/c, because it was just hot enough to use it during my trip, but I didn't feel like bugging the staff late at night.

Location is about three blocks downhill from the bus terminal -- quiet and residential.

Bambu is a nice little laid back hostel with a warm, friendly vibe. Rooms aren't that big, but they do have shelving for your gear. They also have a/c which is awesome if you're not used to a tropical climate. Chris is super friendly and helpful and Roberto is chilled and makes a wicked Caipirinha!

Stayed here for two nights while visiting the falls- rooms were lovely, air conditioning was excellent. Facilities were of a high standard. Staff were extremely helpful, friendly and obliging. Only a 3 minute walk to the bus station which takes you to the falls. Would highly recommend it!

First I have to say it is a good hostel, the staff is very friendly and helpful. I did however get bed bugs there and that is super annoying you have to wash everything or throw everything away. They are hard to get rid off. Staff gave me the night for free and it might not be their fault but I feel obliged to warn other travelers

I stayed here for 2 nights, however the hostel was in pretty good condition.
The manager helped me find a bunch of amenities in the town (great town, great atmosphere)
and also helped me get one of the last Full Moon tours at the falls that I really wanted!
Rooms are good with cubby´s for your things. Washrooms were good and clean.

The atmosphere of the guests was a bit off, not very open to newbies, but the hostel itself was great! Good breakfast as well.
