We stayed two nights after arriving in the late afternoon on out first day. Our room overlooking the garden was beautiful. The pool area is delightful although sometimes lounges were unavailable. We were 25minutes from the Iguazu Falls Argentinian entrance and the hotel driver took us there. For the return, we took the public bus at 30pesos each and were dropped off two blocks from the hotel. Breakfast was huge with some of the best baguettes I've eaten outside of France. The property is minutes from the boarder with Brazil so for those who want to access the falls from that side, it is a winner. One note and a warning: Brazil has a visa fee and drivers will tell you you can circumvent it because they know someone. We did not do it.

We stayed here for 2 nights as part of an Azamara pre-cruise trip to Iguazu Falls.

Our room was spacious and comfortable with a good size luxury bathroom. There was a wide variety of choice for breakfast and the staff at breakfast were very friendly and welcoming. The grounds of the hotel are lush and green and the swimming pools are perfect for relaxing after a hectic day at the falls. The location is excellent for visiting both the Argentine and Brazilian sides of the falls and the views are just spectacular.

We were due to stay in Los Cataratas but due to a late plane arrival couldnt make it and switched for this hotel. Not really the sort of place we like: lots of blingbling (I guess the hotel's architect must have participated in the contest 'the ugliest hotel ever'), strange-looking people with interesting dress codes, poor breakfast and crap wifi. Luckily it was only for one night and we managed to get out quickly...

The Gran Hotel has many nice features including: all rooms are suites, the bathroom has two sinks, the shower is excellent. One of the best meals we had was in the hotel restaurant (quite expensive, but amazing). We felt the service was also excellent. The fitness facility is ok, and has lots of natural light. The pool is also excellent. There is a garden on site from which all the vegetables for the restaurant are obtained. The only reason this is four instead of five stars is that there was a bit of a lack of attention to detail (i.e., cigarette butts all around the side entrances, clearly for days or more without being cleaned up, there was a leak in the window of our room which got the carpet wet, there was mold around the a/c vent). There were a lot of children at the hotel and while we don't have children, it seemed very family friendly. The breakfast was excellent.

Room Tip: Get a room on the second floor if possible; more privacy. Try to get one facing the pool.

Stayed here for 3 nights while visiting both the Argentine and Brazilian sides of Iguazu Falls. The rooms are large and nicely appointed and the grounds are beautiful. The breakfast is well presented and very tasty with lots of choices. We did not visit the Casino at all, but did walk through and it appeared very popular. Although we speak only a bit of Spanish ( more like Spanglish) we had no problems communicating with the staff. Liked being close to town and having dinner there.

Room Tip: Ask for a room in the new wing.
