You can see the river dividing Argentina from Brazil and Paraguay. You will discover that the 3 countries are actually really close to each other, you can also scream from one side to the other!

You can go there by bus or walk if you are staying in the center of the city.

No one goes to Puerto Iguazu, Argentina to see this sight. Yet, everyone who goes to Puerto Iguazu should go here. It's just cool to stand in one country and look across the river to the right at Brazil and the river to the left at Paraguay. Reminded me of being a kid and going to "Four Corners" where as a kid I was able to get down on all fours and have one hand in Colorado, one in New Mexico, one foot in Arizona and the the other in Utah. That was so cool to a 10 year old. This is the same kind of feeling. Take a selfie standing in Argentina with Brazil and Paraguay both in the background. If you walk from in town take the walking path along the Iguazu River and come back along the roads into town. It's a nice hour's walk that takes you directly into the parts of Puerto Iguazu falls with numerous bars and restaurants. Cap it off with a cold beer and wait for the 10 year old "gem" stone vendors to ply their wares. Make the kid show you his stuff and then buy enough to make it worth his time.

Thank Bob-Terri

Out of the three hitos (PY, BRZ, ARG) this is the second best.

It is being developed and so in a few months should be nice.

Worth a visit for the photo.

Unfortunately the grounds were under reconstruction at the time of our visit. Anyway the only attraction here is the meeting of three countries. That's all. I wouldn't consider even the scenery anything extraordinary.
Make a short visit just for collecting another tick on your list.

Hito is a unique location at the eastern end of Puerto Iguazu one sees the Iguazu and the Parana rivers meet and Paraguay, Argentina and Brazil share water-borders. Not much to do apart from the scenary, there is a restaurant overlooking the rivers on the Argentinean side and a few road side stalls selling artefacts. Various buses bring you to Hito and take you back from town.
