Stayed three nights in a river view room with private terrace. A great value. The staff were accessible and helpful. They communicated well in English, Spanish and Portuguese. Breakfast was made to order with excellent fresh brewed coffee. The grounds are beautiful and a short walk to the center of Puerto Iguazu. Our bed was very comfortable. We used this as a base for visiting Iguazu Falls. We traveled back and forth by local bus and that worked out very well. The Guest House also arranged taxis for other guests to both the Argentinian and Brazilian sides of the falls. The town of Puerto Iguazu is small, but offers a range of restaurants from everyday establishments for locals to upscale restaurants clearly aimed at the tourist traffic. Mom and Pop stores had good Argentinian wine in stock and bakeries offered a range of savory empanadas and tortas to sweet pastries. We will recommend the Guest House to friends and would stay there again.

We stayed in the Yaguarete and the Tucan Rooms(shared bathroom). As my aunt was staying in the Tucan Room we had no problem sharing the bathroom with her. However we were not at all amused by the parade of random persons using our bathroom( at least five people) so we were not able to access our bathroom when we needed too. They were directed there by the staff, who when politely told, they apologised but then continued to direct persons to our facilities.
The bathroom was in a state of disrepair full of mould and rotten wood. The taps had mould and the bedroom smelled very musty.

The grounds were nice and the staff were friendly and they gave us information regarding iguazu. For the price this accommodation was not worth the money paid though.

We spent 2 nights in Iguazu to see the falls. We booked the double with shared bathroom. The room was big and comfortable. The only strange thing was that the mattress seemed to be wrapped in plastic under the sheet, making crinkling noises every time you roll over in bed. Other than this, everything was lovely. Nice, cool a/c for the hot days, beautiful grounds with a view of the river and hammocks for hanging out, and a pool to cool off in. The staff were impeccable - some of the most helpful and friendly we have ever encountered. We enjoyed the drinking water available all day, generous breakfast each morning and the complimentary caipirinha each evening, as well as preparing some light meals for ourselves in the kitchen. Their driver was so professional for our airport pickup that we booked his services for our border crossing to Paraguay as well. Highly recommended!

Located at the end of a very quiet street in a lovely location overlooking the river, this was an excellent place to rest before "doing" the falls.
The staff could not have been friendlier - explaining everything carefully and assisting with dining and sightseeing recommendations. Our Spanish isn't great and their English was very good.

The room was very spacious and air-conditioned with cable TV. We were offered a complimentary cocktail which was very nice, but strong. Breakfast was taken outside and we felt like we were in paradise.

The weather was warm as you would expect, but on our last day a storm was brewing and the humidity felt like 101% - The AC was so welcome. Just be prepared!

We stayed for three nights at the Guest House and really appreciated the solicitousness of the staff and the convenient location. We stayed in the Colibri Junior Suite with our own bathroom and right off the dining patio, which was a very pleasant place for breakfast (generous and very good selection) and in the evening. Martin and the rest of the staff were very hospitable and helpful in advising us on how to walk into town to get the bus to Iguazu National Park and on where to eat, find an ATM, etc. The staff were very helpful if we encountered any difficulties (like never having used a Brazilian shower before!). If you enjoy meeting and chatting with other travelers in a relaxed environment, this is a great place to stay when visiting the Cataratas Iguazu!

Room Tip: Colibri is not a suite in the American sense but more like a hotel room. That said, it's quite nice. There are larger rooms available and also a couple with shared bath. If you want to sleep in past 7:30, choose a room farther from the patio.
