Hotel was very nice and clean. Good service and decent rooms. Had a nice big pool which was a great way to cool off and wind down in the afternoon. If you don't expect too much, it is a nice place to stay.

This advertises itself as a four star hotel - Well it is the only hotel we have ever stayed in that does't stock Gin at the bar. Having complained and requested that they find some for the following day ( and we weren't the only people that wanted it! To make matters worse there was a shop stocking it just down the road) the restaurant manager was not interested, so eventually we had to go out and get our own and so our experience continued.......We don't think they have grasped the concept of customer service!..surely the only reason they are trading is due to a captive market supported by the amazing Iguazu Falls? The decor is tired and staff miserable. A great shame as all the other hotels we stayed in in Argentina were fabulous.

The hotel is very beautiful and clean. Located about 20-30 minutes walk from the city center and the bus terminal. Breakfast was good.
On the down side: hotel room was very humid. The air conditioning didn't change a thing to that problem. Also during our stay we asked 2 questions (in english) to employes and for the both Their answer was incorrect (I guess they don't understand very well English); So here are the correct answers:
Taxi To the airport :130 pesos from the hotel (take about 30 minutes)
If you take the shuttle (which you need to reserve the night before): 40$ per person

To get to iguazu falls the less expensive is the city bus which cost 30 pesos per person (so 60 pesos round trip). It takes about 40 minutes, and you need to take the bus "cataratas". Which pass in front of the hotel (on the other side of the street, every 30 minutes).

Ok it has to be said, Iguazu is a completely stitched up tourist experience. You get the impression that everyone is creaming off the top of each other and all in it to get as much as possible out of the tourist while they are in town. Our hotel ordered us a taxi that ended up costing almost 3 times what it really should be to the restaurant. The same taxi man followed us into the restaurant to ensure that the staff phoned him and only him! It just leaves a very bad taste in your mouth.
Anyway, the hotel was only ok. We arrived and checked in ok but no-one offered any assistance in what to do to get to the Falls and only after much pushing and reminding did the staff ring tour groups for us. I imagine if it was one of the tours that was passing the hotel it would have miraculously been a much simpler request.
Our room was fine. Reasonably clean.
The food in the hotel is not great at all. We ate the cornflakes while we were there and that was pretty much it.
I would not recommend this hotel to a friend but if you are stuck you could do worse - trust me!

Very nice hotel, with a big green area around it.
The hotel is a bit far from downtown (if you have to walk). It´s a old hotel but is very well kept.
They have also a nice restaurant and the breakfast is also very nice.
If you like nature it´s a nice hotel to stay, the pool area is very green and you can see the nature around the hotel also.

the hotel is not bad, but prepare yourself for some noisy nights, as locals display their manhood with loud car sound systems all around the hotel, night after night. my recommendation go for the sheraton, there is nothing to do at puerto iguazu anyway.

Room Tip: ask for pool view

I only checked reviews after arriving and was amazed by some of the negative comments posted. The hotel is lovely, set in spacious grounds on the sloping banks above the Iguazu River, some 400 metres from the Tres Fronteras view point overlooking the confluence of the Iguazu and Paraña Rivers. From this point there are views across the Iguazu to Brazil and the Paraña to Paraguay.
The air conditioning on entering the hotel is a blessed relief from the heat and humidity of December. The staff were very friendly have remained so during our stay. The lobby bar area is a large communal area with comfortable settees and chairs and access to 3 computers for taking advantage of the free wifi available (in all bedrooms too).
The bedroom is of a decent size, equipped with a large, comfortable double bed, chair, 26" flat screen TV and minibar. This room is tastefully, and fairly recently, decorated and has very effective air conditioning. There is a French window opening on to a small balcony complete with a large flower- and plant-filled box on the balcony rails.
The bathroom is smallish and perhaps a little gloomy, but has bath/shower, basin, toilet and bidet.
The buffet breakfast is excellent. I cannot comment on the restaurant as we have not eaten lunch or dinner there.
In the grounds there is a rectangular pool with loungers, tables and chairs with parasols and some games tables. At the pool-side bar drinks and food can be ordered.
We have not experienced any noise problems from inside the hotel or, indeed, from local youths playing loud music into the early hours. Our experience has been entirely favourable. I would have no hesitation (a) in staying here again and (b) recommending it to others. In my opinion, it is better to be located away from "downtown" as the town itself has very little to commend it!
