We spent three days in early June 2014. Nice lobby, swimming pool and grounds. But once you get into the elevator, you'll see a hotel that has seen better days. It needs to be updated and painted. Room had a good size, it had a bed, a TV, a big chair a night table, a very small table, and that's it. The closet was old,not very functional and had a not working safe. The room had no decorations, needed new paint. Bathroom was the best part of the room.

There were some items that are missing from an international hotel. There was not a desk in the room. Also, there was a lack of outlets in the room. The two available outlets in the room were not international, which makes using a laptop or charging your phone difficult. (BTW, the international outlets are in the lobby. I bought an power plug adapter for USD 2, but it was not very good.). There was no coffee pot, no microwave oven.

The breakfast was OK, with local pastries, ham, cheese, some fruits, yogurts and bread. It'll fill you up.

If you go in the Winter and/or do not plan to use the swimming pool or enjoy the grounds, there should be better values than this hotel.

The staff is friendly, they'll order a cab and they'll recommend places to go, shop and eat.

The hotel is a bit away from downtown, a 10'-15' walk. It is safe to walk at night. You can take a bus (cheap) too, in front of the hotel. You can also take the bus to Iguazu Falls (with the sign CATARATAS on top), it costs around USD 5 each way. Los 3 Hitos, the shared border with Paraguay & Brazil is a 5' walk (worth checking out).

There is a taxi/private car stop across the hotel and it seems there is always a cab by the hotel's door. The driver will quote a price, but you can negotiate prices with them, bringing down prices by 20%.

My boyfriend and I went into this hotel with very low expectations, but were extremely pleased! The lobby is beautiful, and the restaurant had a great included breakfast. We also ate there one night for dinner. It was a buffet and excellent!

The hotel is outside of town, but an easy walk in, which we did the other night for dinner. We felt safe walking back in the dark.

Originally, we were planning to stay in a cabina which was a little off the property, but the water wasn't working so they moved us back into the hotel. If you like privacy, and don't mind walking a few blocks to get to the hotel I would recommend the cabinas, but we actually really enjoyed our room in the hotel. Because of the inconvenience, they offered us free dinner.

I would definitely recommend this hotel. Very nice, good deal for the price, and wonderful place to come back to after spending the day at the park!

Broken lock on door to balcony with access to outside.
Took to long to fix.
No towels. Hard bed. No explanation re colour of water, bad taste so we had to drink their expensive bottled water.
But the dining experience was simply woeful. Inedible meat with replacement dish not much better, then room service meal took 1 1/2 hours to arrive. No Wi-Fi. Restaurant staff lethargic but other staff good.
We were there for 3 nights.A/C very noisy.

Room Tip: Has huge potential but needs new management.

This hotel is 10-15 minutes walk from the small town of Puerto Iguazu, which has money changer, supermarket and some restaurant. You either walk that length, or take a public bus or take a cab to the town. The hotel is quite big and has a swimming pool. Receptionist was helpful. During rainy days, where you dont feel like going out to eat, hotel has a restaurant that serves buffet starting from 730pm. The staff in the restaurant was not that friendly. Maybe we went there at 730pm, too early for their liking. The price of the buffet was 170 pesos/pax, we only ate there cos it was raining and we dont feel like going out. Room conditions were ok, we have good sleep during the night.

Omnibus that display the sign "Cataracas" passes in front of the hotel to the Iguazu Falls via the town Puerto Iguazu and Omnibus that display the sign "Iguazu" return from Iguazu Falls to the town and the hotel. There is a taxi stand outside the hotel, so getting taxis from the hotel to the falls or town is easy.

Stayed at this hotel for a couple of nights back in January. It has lovely picturesque grounds, but disappointed with the rooms. Very basic, hard beds and in need of updating. No Wi fi in the rooms only lobby.
We ordered room service on the first night and they got the order wrong! Had to wait for ages before it got delivered again but found the staff quite cold and unfriendly.
Disappointed with the Breakfast spread too and slow service.
I would not stay at this hotel again

We stayed 2 nights, couldn't quite find our way around because we were always at the hotel at night time so we felt safer having the hotel buffet which was excellent both evenings. As they don't have wine by the half bottle, they offer to keep your bottle until the next meal if needed ,but we ended up finishing the whole bottle anyway! Very good breakfast buffet which starts early enough to eat before going on the Falls tours.

Nicely maintained property on picturesque gronds, located just down the road from the "tres fronteras" marker and within walking distance to the center of town. The rooms are good sized and the buffet breakfast was quite good. As others have remarked, there is a bus stop across the street that will take gou to the entrance to the Iguazu National Park for 35 pesos. The ride takes 35-40 minutes. Overall, the service at the hotel was above-average but I found the staff to be somewhat aloof and not particularly friendly. I would have rated the hotel excellent but for the demeanor of the staff and the fact the hotel did not provide some of the little touches better hotels frequently provide such as complimentary coffee, tea and bottled water, a robe, bathroom slippers and finallyy, Kleenex.
