The hotel is at most a three star. The room is clean. You get CNN. There is a tiny desk and a chair in addition to the bed, but no other chair or sofa. The door does NOT block sound at all. You can hear every little sound from just outside the door. There is wireless Internet in the room, but it comes and goes and you have to reconnect a couple of times per hour. The breakfast is disappointing. The only hot item is scrambled eggs. You can make your own toast or choose the high calorie cakes on display. Fresh fruits are nice but nothing special considering the area. For these reasons, I do not think this hotel provides good value.

I was booked into this hotel by the travel agent who handelled by trip. I wasnt expecting a five star hotel, but certainly did expect more for the 4 star rating the hotel advertises.
The hotel is clean. We stayed in a Master Suite, which is extremely basic... but the room is pretty big.
The bathroom was clean but the used towels were never replaced during our two night stay.
Breakfast was terrible. There was certainly not a large variety offered the pre-cut fruit looked extremely unappealing. Tables are not set out for guests and you have to essentially pick up all the cutlery and crockery you would like to use take it to your table.

The staff are friendly and were helpful.

The hotel location is not great but is adequate if all you plan to do is vist the falls.

I recently stayed here after a night at the Sheraton, the Sheraton is located within the park, I found this place much nicer, they have separate cabanas which are nice, they have standard rooms, not recommended, very small Motel 6 type, for the budget conscious probably ok for a day. I had a regency master suite, large two rooms with a large bathroom and Jacuzzi. For Argentina it was the first hotel that had USA water pressure, it is true that the hotel is about two miles from the park and with out a rental car you are stuck relying on your tour operator or Remises, private taxi's, overall I 'd say rent a car, Hertz,Avis. For those of you that do not speak any Spanish, the experience within Argentina outside of your Hotel can be a bit daunting, however at this hotel reception is fluent and everyone has a basic grip on English. I read some of the current posts and wonder how my experience was better, I thought the breakfast was excellent, it does not provide american style breakfast, you will not find this anywhere in Argentina but it had scrambled eggs, a large variety of fruit and juices along with cereals and yogurts. I had a wonderful time and we spent four day's here. A couple, not to young not to old. we will return if we revisit. The pool is excellent and the grounds are well maintained. For dinner again I was impressed especially with the chicken dish. I suppose everyone has their good day's and their bad, we were lucky, the place was pleasant, overall it is a three star hotel, by USA standards but for the price and the time we were there it is recommended. There really are not any five star hotels in the Argentina side, the Brazil side has a nice hotel with casino but the price is outrageous and it is a very long way to the park unless you copter in.

Room Tip: rooms in the regency class best and the cabanas even better

We chose not to stay at the Sheraton, which has a fantastic view of the falls from the lobby, but just so-so accommodations. Instead, we took our package operator's advice and stayed here. We had a "master room". It was clean, good bed, no bugs, a frig and roomy. That's all I can say, then, again, the options I noted in a ride around the town did not appear to be much better. I did view from the hallway a standard room--that would not be a room I would want to stay in. The included breakfast was an adequate buffet. Location is several miles away from the national park entrance to the falls. I believe there is a bus that goes by the door that would take you directly to the falls, but we did not use that service.

Room Tip: Opt for the "master room" upgrade.

The hotel is located between town and the national park, therefore convenient, but you don't see the town at all. The rooms were fine, the staff helpful and friendly but the restaurant was a catastrophe. They had at times only two waiters for a whole room full of people and those were unattentive and slow. I got food poisoning from a noodle soup in the restaurant and was in hospital for one and a half day. The manager was extra friendly to us afterwards, but that did not make it better.
On top, the pool is very dirty, they should get a proper filter.

I stayed at this hotel for two nights in January 2012. I was booked here by a tour company after my hotel of choice (in the centre of Puerto Iguazu) was booked out.

The hotel itself is fine. It's pretty basic, but clean and comfortable with a decent bathroom, good air conditioning and free wifi. It also has a really good pool area.

The people at reception were quite helpful. There was always somewhere there who spoke English.

What I didn't like about the hotel was the location. It's about 5km out of town on the road to the falls. If you are happy to hang out at the pool at the end of the day, it would be a good choice. As someone who is not a pool person, I found it very isolating. There is, however, a local bus that goes into town from just outside the hotel (for 2 pesos I think) - I did that one day, but didn't really feel like it after a day at the falls in the heat/humidity nor on the next day in the pouring rain.

The other thing that I didn't like about the hotel was the breakfast. I ate breakfast in various hotels throughout Argentina and Chile on this trip (including some really basic places in Patagonia) and this was, by a very long way, the worst breakfast of the trip. The bread for toasting was really really stale and on one day was mouldy. It wasn't the end of the world and there were other things that were ok. There was plenty to choose from, but the overall quality was far below much more basic hotels.

I opted for the bar menu rather than the dinner buffet. It was pretty good and very reasonably priced.
