“For The Dollar.....Great Course”
Reviewed 25 August 2013

If you like to play golf and you appreciate excellent greens. This is where to play. Painted Mountain is a very nice course to play. It does give you a lot for your money. Driver on every par 4 is not needed if you can hit long irons. The layout of this course is nice. A long par five to start makes for a great warm up hole. We enjoy playing this course whenever we can and it's usually every other week. They also have a great steak dinner package we always take advantage of. The people there are really friendly and do everything possible to make you feel welcome. They are doing some landscape which is really enhancing some of the areas that need it, but you shouldn't be hitting that far out of the fairways anyway. If you are, take up knitting. Have fun out there. We do every time out. Love Painted Mountain

“An easy, forgiving, pretty course.”
Reviewed 23 March 2013

Ice was delivered to us 3 or 4 times. I shot my best score in 25 years! Wide fairways, with some water and some sand. Lots of green grass, and not a lot of desert. Slope rating was only 64.3 from the whites, which was just up my alley for a 22 handicap. There were houses along both sides for most of the way, but no problem. Course and greens were in good shape.

“Residential Course, Very Nice Staff”
Reviewed 9 March 2013 via mobile

This course is residential, houses surround the course entirely. If you are a big slicer, or have a heck of a hook- be forewarned. The staff is very friendly and helpful, fees are reasonable- cheapest if you book on their website, not on the phone. The course is a bit tight, but pretty with some mountain views. The view of the lovely Painted Mountain on the first tee is gorgeous. There are water, sand, and out of bounds hazards, but not so many as to ruin your round. The pace of play can be trying. If you are a stickler for the 4 to 4.5 hours for 18 holes, you may be frustrated. We never saw a Marshall, but we all just took it easy and played politely. It's really about being outside, playing golf in a pretty place with people you like. Snack shack with hotdogs at the turn. They do not have 9 hole rates. There are some steep cart path sections that you should be attentive to for safety, and you cross many residential streets so be careful and enjoy this pretty course in the fruit orchards of Mesa!

“Not difficult but somewhat challenging”
Reviewed 20 February 2013

I played this course several times while staying at the Painted Mountain Resort which is adjacent to the golf course. There is a pretty good golf package available for guest at the resort, $48.00 for 18 holes plus cart, or $24.99 for the twilight plus cart and a steak dinner at the clubhouse. I took advantage of both and I enjoyed playing this course. The only word of advice for golfers planning to play this course is that there are some holes where you need to hit the ball straight off the tee, if you slice or hook you will end up in someones swimming pool or patio. Generally though it is a fairly easy course to play, the greens were fast but once you adjusted to that reality it was fine.

“One of the best golf deals in the valley”
Reviewed 16 November 2012

This is an excellent course on the north side of Mesa near Falcon Field. The course was in perfect condition and offered some challenge while still being very playable for duffers. Layout is a little unusual with a par 37 front and a par 33 back but it all works out well. You can find great deals on-line for this course. The staff is very friendly.
