“A standard municipal course”
Reviewed 15 June 2012 via mobile

All over the country there are municipal golf courses just like this one. This is nothing you will remember a week later.

There are plenty of tough holes that are primarily made tough by greens with a lot of undulations. The course conditioning was below average and the course design was bland.

If I lived in the Phoenix area I would probably only play here during the winter when the much nicer courses get too expensive.

Also, there is a huge difference in difficulty between the back tees and the middle tees and there is a need for another set of tees in between the 6100 white tees and the 6700 blue tees.

“Great municipal golf course”
Reviewed 1 May 2012

I lived in Dobson Ranch for 7 years and played this course many times. The terrain is kind of flat--and that may not be a bad thing!-- but other than that it can be a challenging course. Whoever placed the sand traps must have watched me play because I seem to find them all! Greens fees seem a little high for a municipal course, especially one that's been around as long as this one has, but it is a fun and challenging course to play. The lighted driving range is usually almost full in the evenings. Oh. by the way, there's a full service restaurant there that's pretty good too. It used to be open for dinner, but now it's only open for breakfast and lunch and has banquets and receptions in the evenings.

Nothing spectacular - decent rates for a decent golf experience.
