“Fun afternoon”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 March 2014

The weather was perfect for an afternoon cruise. The captain, who narrated the cruise, answered questions and mingled with the passengers. It was a good personal touch to this delightful cruise through the canyon while we viewed "snow birds", a bald eagle, cormorant and ring tailed gulls along with the beautiful rock formations and desert plants. Would highly recommend this delightful cruise for 90 minutes of relaxation on the water.

“Outstanding Experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 February 2014

Our recent excursion on the Desert Belle sightseeing cruise on Saguaro Lake in Mesa, AZ was an unexpected treat. While visiting my sister and brother-in-law in Scottsdale, they suggested that we drive up to Saguaro Lake to take this sightseeing cruise. The lake location is impressive but the narration of the captain was what really capped our experience. The captain provides just the right amount of commentary with a strong speaking voice and an appropriate touch of humor. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone interested in a short getaway.

“A Cruise to Remember”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 February 2014

Had our choices of seats (non VIP ticket holders) and chose the lower level bow in front row in folding chairs. The boat was nice, quiet and clean. The weather was unseasonably warm (at least that is what they tell me since I'm from Indiana) on a February day. The crew and passengers patiently waited for some "johnny come lately" and we pulled out a few minutes late. We were given instructions from the crew on how to locate, wear and use our life preservers. The captain was very explanatory about all the sights, flora and fauna, etc. over the boat's loud speaker system. When he took a break and let us just soak in the sights without narration, he played some good easy listening music like the Moody Blues, etc. We floated down this beautiful scenery, sipping our Mike's Hard Lemonade we purchased on the boat. "Johnny come lately" sat directly behind me and occasionally drown out the captain's narration. Most people waited for the musical interlude to talk. I said out-loud "I wished I could hear what the captain was saying" and fortunately he got the point after a few words were muttered and he shut up. Obviously this guy thought the world revolved around him. Besides that one bad apple, this cruise was a cruise to remember. I will recommend it to anyone heading to the Phoenix area.

“Relaxing afternoon, beautiful scenery”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 February 2014

What a nice way to spend a February afternoon. A short drive from Phoenix put us in this surreal landscape. The narrated tour by Geno was very informative, and his love for the surrounding land couldn't help but come through. The boat is nothing fancy, (really a big double decker pontoon), but it is comfortable enough. I don't know of any other place with a scenic shoreline like this... sheer cliffs and the towering advisors.

A delightful way spending time seeing something different. As you approach the canyon you get an impressive view of the lake, most of our guests have been surprised and thoroughly enjoyed the cruise. I would recommend to anyone. Get there early for parking and seating.
