“Average hotel restaurant food”
Reviewed 22 April 2014 via mobile

Stopped in for dinner after a long day at work. This is located in the Holiday Inn. Tried the cobb salad. Pretty basic and lacking some items. Overall very average. I sat in the bar for dinner and bartender was gone for a while so I had to wait. The bar has very few wine choices and limited beer and liquor. Thought there would be more options. Ok got a basic meal.

“Great food and service!”
Reviewed 18 November 2012

While staying at the holiday inn in Mesa for a week, we tried some local restaurants and found the food so-so. Then one night, we tried the Redstone Grill. The decor is not updated, so we weren't expecting much. However! The food was the best we had seen in Mesa! Our waitress Rosalea was friendly and helpful with the meal and with other tourist questions. I had the Special, a fiesta salad which was delicious, and my wife enjoyed the Cobb salad. With a glass if Riesling, it was the relaxing, light meal we were searching for! It was so good, that the next night we didn't even think about going elsewhere! Jose was our waiter, and again, we got excellent, friendly service! This time, we ordered the chicken fajitas which were fun and tasty! And the stuffed portobello was a dish I would order again and again. So, overall, the decor may make you wonder about trying this restaurant. Not bad, it just isn't "hip"! But you will not be disappointed! I love preparing dinners at home, and am often disappointed with the menus in restaurants. At the Redstone Grill, there is a chef who knows what s/he is doing! Healthy food choices, excellently prepared, make this a great choice with great value!
