“Old reliable favorite......”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 March 2014

Left the Tempe/Mesa area a little over 15 years ago and Macayo had always been an old favorite. Had the chance to return last week with 6 other adults. Food was good, everybody satisfied. Dinner, drinks & tip under $18 per person!

“Good food, great service, reasonable prices”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 March 2014

The service was great and the food very tasty. They have a good gluten free menu as well for those who are gluten intolerant. Very friendly and efficient waiters and waitresses. Ideal for lunch before attending spring training games...extremely close to the stadium!

“Nice except the food”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 March 2014

Nice atmosphere and sevice, but food was over salted, over cooked and gooy cheese dominated flavors. Chicken and carnitas were dry, tough and tastless. Side salad was brought after the meals were presented, then server faked surprize that it was not wanted with the meal.

Flan for dessert was pretty good

“Good Authentic Mexican Food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 March 2014

Whenever we visit Tempe we go to Macayo's for a good, resonable Mexican meal. We enjoy dining outside but so do a lot of folks, so we try to arrive early and claim a spot! The portions are huge, you really get your monies worth. Very casual, with a good selection of drinks. I had the prickly pear margaritas and it was delicious, refreshing!

“Horrible food”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 March 2014 via mobile

Gave it 2 stars due to service, I had 2 chicken enchiladas with red sauce more like pink sauce and bearly ate any of it, cut into it with a fork and all watery... Friend had chicken fajitas the next morning said they were throwing up all day...not a good experience with their food, even their salsa tasted like crap.. Would never visit again.
