“A nice hotel business or pleasure”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 June 2014

I stayed here for 5 days in May 2014 on business, the rooms are large and comfortable, the swimming pool and hot tub were a regular post breakfast visit for me before starting my days work. staff were very friendly and helpful, breakfast in the adjoining restaurant had a wide range of healthy options as well as the usual big American breakfast. I'll stay here again next time I am here on business.

We fully enjoyed our stay at the Mesa Marriott Hotel. Our room was on the 12th floor. The
VIP room was a pleasant surprise. There was some renovations going on, however it did
not detract from our stay.

I appreciate your kind words about our hotel. Being on the 12th floor, you had one of the best views the valley has to offer.

We are doing some renovation, and we do our best to minimize any impact on our guest. We look forward to having you back as our guest when you return to Mesa.

First of all, do not have the 12.00 buffet, the service at the restaurant was really bad. People were unfriendly and the food was not worth 12.00 a person. The hotel is a great value very nice but again the service at the front desk is not spectacular like at other Marriots.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review on our hotel. Although you were pleased with the hotel in general, and our value, you did mention some elements of poor service. I always share comments with the staff. Should you want to take the time to provide me any further details, I have listed my contact information below.

We look forward to having you back as a guest of ours soon.

Attached to a convention centre with all the Marriott conveniences. We arrived on a slow weekend and were able to get a killer rate. A welcome respite after two weeks on the road. Great rooms, great views, great service.

Room Tip: Take the breakfast, it is well worth it.

Thank you for your comments. We are pleased that we were able to offer you a place to relax and unwind. Our hotel is located perfected for that--away from the hustle and bustle, but still very close to wherever you need to be.

The staff here are super friendly and very helpful. While the hotel is in an older building, the lobby has been nicely updated and the rooms are clean and well cared for. The beds are very comfortable. The pool area was a little sparse on chairs and there was a lot of debris from the surrounding palm trees at the bottom of the pools, but the grounds are well kept. The hotel is about 3 blocks from other attractions in Mesa, but it can be a long hot walk when the temperature is high. The area appears to be up and coming with some new buildings coming up in between much older. I was here for business and this was a comfortable place to stay.

Thank you for your feedback concerning your stay with us.

I appreciate the positive things you had to say concerning our staff, the rooms, and the overall cleanliness. All of those are critical to us. Unfortunately, during the time of your stay, we had very high winds which did cause issues--such as the one that you mentioned with the pool having debris from the palm trees. That is not an excuse for us not being on top of that. We have regular scheduled times that the pool is serviced, and we should always present that area to the expectations of our guests.

You also mentioned that we are a few blocks from downtown Mesa. Much is happening, and changing in downtown. The light rail is coming, and will link us to Tempe, Phoenix, and the airport. In addition, downtown Mesa has great plans to restore the "historic" nature of our city in conjunction with the light rail work. We are walking distance to the largest Arts center in the state, as well as other fantastic museums.

I hope you have the chance to visit us again and experience everything that Mesa has to offer.

Best Regards

I recently stayed here for a conference and have to say that as far as meeting accommodations, it was ideal. The few times we dined in the restaurant, food was delicious. Everyone was very friendly; however, they seemed to be terribly understaffed especially knowing that a conference was being held. There was no shuttle available, unless room service was slow. This was especially problematic as the hotel is not within walking distance to any shopping or other attractions.

Thank you for your feedback concerning your stay with us. We really appreciate the kind words that you had to say about our restaurant and the meeting facilities that we have.

We are tucked into an area that is 3 blocks away from downtown Mesa. Our Mesa Arts Center is one of the best in the valley, and our museum offering--all within walking distance--are fabulous as well. The Mesa area, and the East Valley has much to offer. We hope that you have the chance to return and explore all that Mesa has to offer.

Friendly staff, nice quiet accomodations. Problem is there are very little dining and no shopping opportunities nearby. The property has a nice set of meeting rooms in a separate building. Good spot to hold meetings, but other than that a decent hotel set far away from everything.

Room Tip: End of halls away from elevators

We appreciate your feedback on your stay with us at the Phoenix Marriott Mesa.

We are located 3 blocks away from the downtown Mesa area. I'm sorry that you did not have the chance to explore our historic downtown area. Much work is happening downtown to extend the light rail into our area. There will be stops available within walking distance from us by 2015. This will provide access into Tempe, Phoenix, and Sky Harbor Airport.

I hope that you have the chance to visit us again, and get to experience all that Mesa and the East Valley has to offer.
