“Very Nice Place”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 February 2014

I booked this hotel based on reviews and can say I wasn't disappointed. I have family in Mesa/Gilbert and they stated it's not a good area. First, the area wasn't that attractive but don't let that deter you. Secondly, the in/out of the hotel is one way currently because they are putting in the commuter Train to connect to Phoenix. But it's managable and like any big city, traffic snarles happen. Anyway, upon arrival, pleasantly greeted and quick check in. Room was top notch clean and no signs of disarray or dispear. I was very pleased with the room (2bed Queen). Showers, TVs, Clocks, plenty of towels, accessories of a hotel room. My only comment is there is NO shades to completely darken the room. They had a shear curtain up but I'm not sure how much that blocked the outside from looking in....it could be a concern for some. The bed was comfortable, but a personal issue is the pillows used are not supportive that I'm used to and took some adjusting to get comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was good and available every day and plentifully stocked. The pool and spa were open but did not use it on this visit. Overall I would rate my stay very good to excellent, with only minor issues as stated above.

We stayed in a suite that was clean and huge, and it was the envy of our friends who stayed in a nearby Marriott.

Downside was one of the front desk clerks who was argumentative over a minor issue. We would stay again and avoid Ms Grouchy. The other employees were very friendly and eager to please.

Room Tip: Get a suite

We were spending one night in Mesa to see some friends and used a free night at a Comfort Inn from previous stays at the chain. Had a suite which was very spacious with comfortable beds for a good sleep. The breakfast offered a good selection. The desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Only two things prevented the highest rating. (1) The light in the bathroom over the sink was a new compact fluorescent type, which no doubt saves energy, but left you in a cave-like dim environment for several minutes while it brightened. Then it was fine. (2) There is ongoing construction on several lanes of East Main St next to the hotel. It looks a bit fore bidding, but just think of it as a one east bound lane entry and exit from the Comfort Inn. Then it was no problem at all. Overall, a good experience.

Spent a few days here. Quiet, and the beds are wonderful. The only noise is the doors that tend to slam shut. Geneva at the front desk was so nice a helpful every day I was there. She made my stay more enjoyable with her knowledge of the area. Will be back

Room Tip: Upstairs is quieter.

This is one great hotel. We stay here as a team every year because Nellie & Karen are AWESOME. These ladies know how to run a hotel. The housekeeping staff is friendly & the rooms are amazing. The bedding is modern and incredibly comfortable. Televisions are flat panels and the rooms all have TVs & microwaves. Rooms are, for the most part, quiet and the shades keep them very dark when you need a midday nap.
Like I said, we stay here every year with a youth sports team and it's turned into a yearly tradition.
The double queen suite with a pullout queen bed is an added bonus and there's a two room king suite on the second floor that's insanely huge.
You won't go wrong by staying here. (It's even worth the road construction hassle to get to).

Our stay at Comfort Inns and Suites in Mesa Az was very nice and comfortable. The staff was well organized and very helpful. The rooms were clean and well stocked with towels. The morning breakfast was always fresh and they had a variety of breakfast options. I would recommend this hotel and will stay there again when in Mesa.
Satisfied visitor from New Mexico.

Nothing fancy expected nor received. Broken TV remote, adjustable shower head didn't adjust. No fitness center. When we asked how to remove a previous occupant's voice mail message the reply was "I don't know". No effort to find out answer. When I went into breakfast at 9:05, they were putting food away. I asked if I could have a yogurt (They were in a glass fronted cooler being locked) I was told no. " if I do it for you I have to do it for everyone." There were exactly two other people in the lobby at the time.
This place needs serious customer service training.

Room Tip: There are 8 mini suites, about 40% larger, often available at a minimal additional fee.
