“Best food I had till now in Argentina”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 November 2008

We had dinner in this trendy restaurant. The view is amazing over the lake. Beautifull garden, great interiour (stone walls with wood and lot of paintings). The view to the wine celler is excellent.

As starter we both had tartatin of tomato with olives. This is one of the best starters I ever ate. And I ate in a lot of restaurants all over the world. The main course was also very good. The wine is more expensive then in other restaurants in Bariloche, but the ambiance makes this worth.

Best restaurant in town.

“An upscale restaurant with wonderful food and service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 September 2008

This restaurant is really nice. It's got a trendy but traditional decor. All of the art on the walls is for sale.
I had the veal tenderlion for dinner. It came with some potatoes- similiar to scalloped and some frozen chimichurri sauce, which sounds weird but it was actually very good. My whole meal was excellent. My husband got the lamb sirloin, which he said was awesome. We got a bottle of Luigi Bosca Malbec with dinner, which is very good, but I like the Santa Julia Malbec better.
The service was excellent- but we were the only ones in the restaurant at first. When a large group came in, we were still attended to very well.
Our whole meal ran $112 US. That include some bottled water and a few cocktails.
Tip: You can get Argentinian wine at good prices in Argentina but cocktails made with imported liquor- like vodka from Europe- are not cheap. They will run you $10-13 US per drink.

Thank KK

“Most ridiculous meal of our lives”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 February 2008

We just returned from a fabulous trip to Patagonia and will review the wonderful parts of our trip later, but had to post our experience at this restaurant in Bariloche. Our staff at our hotel recommended we try this place after I had requested something romantic with a view of the lake with good food. Upon arrival the staff convinced us to try their fixed price special wine pairing menu for the night. They had a visiting chef and were making a big deal about it, so we thought sure, why not. By the third course, we had each managed to down about three tiny bites. Each course fit in a teaspoon and had 10 different ingredients, all blended into a gelatinous tidbit. The portions were laughable. In fact as each tiny and strange course was served and the wine kept flowing, we got the giggles as each one showed up. The staff took it all very seriously and the chef came out and explained that we should experience the meal as art and savor the flavors as if it were a map. I have traveled all over the world and eaten at the finest restaurants, but this one takes the cake for taking themselves way too seriously.

The room was very pretty though and maybe their regular menu is fine.
