Made reservations on the internet before we left. We were one of only two couples dining at the 7:45 seating. Too bad for those in Bariloche that evening that missed this experience. While locals like to dine at the later seating, the early seating lets you enjoy the beautiful view from the restaurant and the gorgeous sunset over the lake. When we arrived we were told our table was ours for the evening and we would not be rushed out for the second seating, not that we were every rushed. Service was excellent. There is little I can add to previous reviews, just reinforce what has already been said. The other couple dining was from New York City and their comment was, "better than Per Se." The entire restaurant is run by Chef Edward, his wife and their friend. They do a great job. Edward did come out to say hello as we were finishing our meal.
Portions are just the right size. Not too small, so you feel cheated and not too big so you cannot finish the meal. Only the tasting menu is served. They do ask you if you have any allergies or dislikes and appear to modify the menu if necessary.
I have not seen the price of the meal in any of the reviews, which I am sure changes. I will quote it for you, as it also does not appear on the website. During late October 2013 it was 390 Argentine Pesos per person for the tasting menu. There is a wine flight to accompany the dinner, but it did not interest us. Instead we ordered a bottle of a very nice Malbec. As mentioned, they only take cash, but they do accept US dollars. While it might seem expensive, we paid in USD and found the meal to be a great value compared to what we would pay in the US.
If you are fortunate to visit the city of Bariloche you want to eat here one evening.
