Might be on the touristy side, but it was really good food at good prices I thought. Service was also good, considering my Spanish is bad.

Located off the side of the main road out of Bariloche to Cerro Cathedral, A Los Bifes is the one place that you can count on to deliver great service and always be open-no matter what time you come back from the slopes.
What made the restaurant stand out for me is that when you order meat, they place it on a little mini grill on your table, ensuring your meat is kept warm until you get to it.
The Bife de Chorizo Classico is a must have. Argentinian cuisine at its finest. And, if you're interested in dessert, try the Frambuesa con Hielo (raspberry ice cream).
The only real issue I had was with the bathroom. Out of the four times I've been to A Los Bifes, the bathroom had been in various states of disrepair.

Though the attention was OK, everything I asked for was disappointing. The grilled cheese ("provoleta" in Spanish) was undercooked. The fried chicken tasted like rubber, and I even couldn't eat a piece. Portions were huge, but I don't think this is valuable given the poor quality of everything. My partner ate some roasted meat which was OK, though it had too much salt in it. A lunch for two without wine nor dessert was 200 AR$ (nearly 45 US$) which is very expensive for a poor meal. All in all, I wouldn't recommend anybody to go have lunch or dinner in this place considering the many places there are in Bariloche to choose.
