I invite you reader, to take a look at all my reviews, feel free. I have been all over US, Argentina and most of Europe. I have not stayed at the most expensive hotels in those locations, but I have visited them to take pics from inside, without anyone -guests or staff- minding or taking any exception. Well, this one is different. It seems like they think they belong to a different country, one where no one without paying can even set one foot on it.
I went twice. The first time security (they looked more like a government agency than a hotel) told me and others arriving, that no one but guests could get in, not even to take a couple of pictures, since there was a conference and it was not allowed that day. Ok, so I came back on the weekend. Other guys in security told me that only guided tours (? - I still don´t know which tour, have not found one) were allowed, and that, since they had a 60% of occupancy (I mean - really?) no other people could get in -again SIXTY-.
That was when it was clear for me that these people think they don´t belong to a democratic country in 2013, but to a landlord in the middle ages. A pity. The place is beautiful, and the pics from outside were great. However, a lousy management can make such a beautiful place look like an image from other times. No one knows who the next guests could be; such a disappointing way of handling the tourism. Awful.
