Very friendly and helpful welcome. Juan went out of his way to help us out.

Smallish but comfortable rooms and we slept very well. Wetroom style bathroom common in South America not always such a fan of but everything else fine. A good breakfast!

Juan and Lucia went out of their way- literally, by miles- to help us solve a problem. This was beyond the call of duty, and that kindness exemplifies who they are. Breakfasts were home-cooked, the location is quiet, and the atmosphere with other guests was friendly. Yes, the private bathroom was quite small, but the bedroom was the same size as those in other hostels we stayed in, clean, and freshly painted. It's obvious that they've put a lot of thought and effort in to creating a comfortable hostel that caters to both backpackers and families.

My sister and I were traveling through for a few nights and wanted to be close to the city for food, culture, activities. I think this was the best option and Kospi was great value. Very small combination bathrooms and small rooms, but clean and cute- perfect for traveling through. Also, the hosts are fabulous and helpful, making cute breakfast and providing guidance for any activities you're interested in. We love their cat! Thanks Lucia and Juan!

Juan and Lucia were very welcoming. Breakfast was superb especially Lucia's freshly baked items. Located on the main street albeit a 5-10 minute walk from the main restaurants etc. Room is small but cosy and adequate. Would definitely recommend Kospi to others visiting Bariloche.

Kospi is run by a youn enthusiastic couple. We loved staying at Kospi. Lucia and Juan are very helpfull and their english is superb! They helped us getting the most out of our stay in Bariloche and surroundings. Breakfast is nice and cosy in their living room. They do have a cat and a dog. Although the dog is never in the house. We like animals so for us no problem, but just so you know. You walk to city center in 10 minutes. No problem. Rooms are small but beautifull decorated. It is no hotel, this is a hostel. The price is very good, not over the top. Lucia and Juan have good taste and they styled their house and hostell in retro style. Loved it! Feels like a warm home, what else do you want...

My husband and I spent two nights with Juan and Lucia at the Kospi guest house in October 2013. We arrived with two loaded touring bikes and found a warm welcome. Rooms are small and cozy, with a lovely little sitting room on the upper floor. For the price we felt we got a very good deal. Nice breakfast, friendly and helpful hosts and excellent location - close to downtown and pubs.
Highly recommended, Margaret

Room Tip: There are eight rooms and all seemed similar.

During our 3-week holiday to Argentina we stayed in a variety of places and this is why Kospi stood out from all the others: Juan and Lucia are warmly nurturing this relatively new business of theirs, and that warmth is felt in the welcome and attention they give to their guests. They have managed to create a space that has the camaraderie of a hostel, the peace and quiet of a hotel and the cosiness of a home. Bravo!

Here are the many highlights:

Communication: Organising excursions, booking restaurants and taxis, exploring local breweries, buying the right chocolates, catching the local bus...Juan and Lucia are there to talk through everything you might want to do with your day and help you to do it right. They really care about making your day as easy as possible and getting the most out of it.

Bed: Surprisingly cosy and incredibly warm!

Common Areas: A spacious kitchen you can use, plenty of dining chairs and tables, good couch space, and our personal favourite - the landing at the top of the stairs with a view of the lake, bright colours, and a nice quiet space to enjoy a glass of wine while the sun goes down.

Location: Not in the heart of the town, but a very easy short walk either to the main street or the lake. Very convenient is the bus-stop to the ski slopes only 2 blocks away, and crucially, it's near the start of the bus route so you can actually get on the bus!! We drove past quite a few disappointed skiers nearer the far side of the town.

Value: This place is really great value for money.

Worth noting: There are pets, so if you have allergies it might not be the place for you. Also, the bathrooms are tight for space but still very clean and perfectly functioning.
