“Just another beautiful area. There are lots of them.”

Nice plaza area with an unsetting bronze statue of a "fallen hero" Julio Roca, who is guilty of Genocide. In this case, it does not make any difference to me what good he accomplished.
They have an entire area in Moscow filled with other "fallen heros" from the communist past. Time to remove the statue.

Very well kept square with tango dancers, dancing to their hearts content. One could not miss this square as this is the main square in Bariloche.

While the structures may appear a bit worn, this is a lovely place to visit and do some people-watching. On a warm sunny day, there are all sorts of folks gathered here meeting with friends and family or just sitting on the lovely lawns taking in the view. And, of course, you can't miss the history of the abuela scarves representing the "disappeareds" of Argentina. When we were there in early January, the controversial statue of Roca was completely covered with a Christmas Tree! Funny!

What was a great place in the past is now a shadow of what it should be. Poorly maintained buidings that for the pictures we saw, were stunning in the past. The main plaza is all painted and vandalised. The view saves the place, as with the rest of Bariloche.

It doesn't take long, but we enjoyed walking through and around the civic complex of stone and wood buildings with a spectacular lake view. There is a sculpture in the plaza that has a controversial history. The park in the next block is attractive too with massive trees.
