My now wife and I are here on our honeymoon and have fallen in love with Aldebaran. Through all our research we found exactly what we were looking for. Aldebaran is small enough to make it feel vey homey, is immaculately clean which is important to us, is away from the hustle and bustle of town but still close enough to cab in, has a very authentic Argentinian feel, and a staff that makes you feel at home. Jose is the manager and is the absolute greatest. His kindness and warmth make you feel extremely comfortable and taken care of. He is always available to help with anything you need. Aldebaran is fantastic for anyone especially those wanting to relax and feel at home for an authentic Argentinian stay.

We stayed at Aldebaran for Christmas. The hotel is a great place with a very nice and helpfull staff. Small and nicely located however it seems first a long way from Bariloche but that is no problem at all. Good restaurants close by and great activities especially the boat trips on the lakes.

My wife and I stayed at Aldebarán for 4 days. The hotel is on the peninsula of San Pedra and is away from the crowd. It has about 10 or so rooms and we felt like living in a beautiful private home. The common areas such as living and dinning rooms all have beautiful views of the lake, and the garden in front is well-kept. There is an indoor swimming pool with adjacent sauna that looked very inviting. The staff was very helpful even before we arrived at Bariloche. Everyone at the hotel was very friendly. I give the hotel 4.5 stars.

The windows in our room do not open. Be sure to close the drapes in the afternoon or else the room could become quite hot. There is a single-panel door that can be opened to circulate the air. Outside temperature at night often drops down to 10C so the room cools down quickly.

Breakfast is included, and is standard European buffet style. We also had dinner at the hotel on Christmas eve. The food, particularly the steak, was very good, except that the shrimp was somewhat mushy. Other than that, our stay was absolutely memorable.

Room Tip: The standard room we had do not have a view of the lake. I think it is worthwhile to get the rooms o...

We had a fantastic time in Bariloche staying at Aldebaran. They were so accommodating to our family. We were treated with such care the entire time! Their staff arranged a great day of fishing for us and then prepared the trout we caught that night! It was very special and we will always appreciate our time at Aldebaran.

From the moment you arrive at this lovely hotel, your every comfort is met. Delightful helpful owners, so cheerful all the time. The view of the mountains and lake from our room 5 was spectacular. Meals are of a high standard, spa is excellent and the massage to die for. Fabulous area with the best panoramic view I have ever seen. We drove around in a hire car but there are many activities to enjoy. Stay a week and be totally cosseted

Room Tip: Ask for a high room facing the lake

The Aldebaran is definately off the beaten path, but thats the beauty and the experience of it. The hotel is one of , if not the best place I have stayed in. It's like being in a large "private" home or Villa. Incredibly clean and crazy big rooms, an amazing view of lake and mountains. The pool, hot tub and sauna area is 5 star. So thats the hotel. Then the food....excellent and so creative, like a fine dining restaurnt in New York City ! So whats left....the Staff......incredibly hospitable, so willing to just talk and answer any questions. Everyone at this hotel was super friendly, and just seemed to enjoy working there. Jose by far was the best. He has a great and warm personality, knows the wine list well, and can tell you anything you want to know about Bariloche. And he remembered our names by the first meal !

Room Tip: I traveled with a group where we actually had booked the whloe hotel. I saw almost every room, and i...
