“Could have been better”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 March 2014

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights as part of a tour of Chile and Argentina.
After reading many reviews on TA, I was expecting more than I experienced.
We had requested a quiet room which we were given, but it overlooked a tin roof that sounded as if it was raining in the evening. There was also the smell of smoke wafting off the kitchen below.
The room was rather small...bedding was nice, as was the flat screen TV.
Breakfast was adequate but not outstanding.. The bartender was the nicest employee I encountered and the bar area overlooked the lake with nice sofas and tables to enjoy the views and a cocktail.
I was not impressed with the desk staff. A certain young woman who was there most mornings acted as if she was bored with her job. That was the only person I had any dealings with on my entire trip who wasn't friendly.
There are better places to stay in Bariloche...as the rankings list on TA indicates.

Stayed for 3 nights in a suite on the 7 floor facing the lake. It was a very quite location near to every attraction. The breakfast was great. The reception was professional and efficient. We liked
it very much and hope to come back.

This is a lovely modern hotel just about 10-15 min easy walk to centre of town. There are many excellent restaurants nearby, main shopping area is very close. Front desk staff is very professional and helpful, eager to accommodate all of your requests. They can also book tours for you. My room was on the first floor and opened onto a patio connecting to the beach in front of Nahuel Huapi lake. That was great, you are able to walk around and witness the sunrise and sunset right by the lake. The room was large with comfortable bed and was well laid out, so was the bathroom. It did show some wear and tear but nothing major. Housekeeping was adequate. The only noise that I heard was from the neighboring rooms which housed a large senior tour group that liked congregating on the patio in the evenings and these people were totally inconsiderate about the other guests of the hotel. Thankfully, they were going to sleep fairly early and weren't disturbing my sleep, nonetheless it was very annoying. The breakfast was buffet style and offered a large variety of choices. I found it decent but agree that wasn't much to write about. I enjoyed my stay in the hotel and recommend it.

Room Tip: Ask for a superior room with lake view, you will enjoy the views and not hearing the traffic on the...

I selected this hotel for it's near cbd location.
It is a pleasant mid level hotel and perfectly adequate for a short stay
I had a quiet room right at the bottom with a semi private lawn and beach frontage
Bariloche , in spite of it's romantic history , was entirely forgettable

We had a lovely room here on our tour with magnificent views of the lake and the Andes. Beds were very comfortable. Entire hotel was very clean. We got a good night of sleep and enjoyed being within walking distance of town. The breakfast is adequate but nothing special. Plenty of space and food for all the different guests. We hiked a lot around Bariloche and were happy to jump into the lovely indoor pool after a long day.

Room Tip: See if you can get a room on the lake side. I understand the other rooms are just so-so. That view...

This hotel is gorgeous with a beautiful setting and well located. But, the rooms near the street have to put up with people using the gas station all night long. The rooms with a view of the lake listen to the disco until 5:00am as the noise is amplified by the water. The tiny rooms 307 and 407 look mostly into a concrete wall and listen to what sounds like rain on a tin roof all night.

This is one of the best hotels we have stayed. Our tour group stayed here for three nights. It is on the lake with a spectacular view of the lake and the mountains across the lake, which had a covering of fresh snow even though this is the summer. The room was large, clean with a comfortable king size bed, flat screen TV, large bathroom with a jacuzzi bath tub and shower. The wifi was free, but to get a good signal you need to go to the lobby. The staff was friendly and helpful.
The breakfast buffet was excellent with a wide chose of food and juices. We also ate dinner here the first night and the food and service was excellent. Because it was a large group, the chose for the main course was chicken or pasta, both were very good. This was the best hotel on our three tour of South America. We can definitely recommend staying here.
