Hotel Tirol Bariloche

We stayed here for two nights as part of our Honeymoon trip to Argentina. It was recommended in a Lonely Planet book and we were able to book online ahead of our trip. We did not receive email confirmation of our reservation, but upon inquiry, they responded that they were expecting us. One advantage of this hotel compared to some we stayed at in Buenos Aires is that they don't charge the room ahead of time. We had the option to pay in Pesos when we checked out (a great way to save some money these days) which makes the already great value hotel even better.

The view is incomparable. We stayed in a lakeview room on floor 2 and we were just stunned with the view the entire time. The english speaking staff was extremely helpful for all questions big and small about the area. I would highly recommend to any visitor to the BEAUTIFUL town of Bariloche

Room Tip: The rooms with a lake view are well worth the slightly increased price.

It is an honor for the Hotel Tirol Bariloche that international guests write good reviews of their stay in our facilities. It makes us very happy and gives us the clue that we are on the right track to reach international standards.
We really appreciate your review.

We stayed here for two nights and enjoyed it very much, had two rooms one in 5th floor another in 3rd floor, both had a very nice view, you just cant wake up and have the lake any closer, also the town in walking distance and very convenient, the service is ran by a family and they are all very nice. Breakfast is European style, very good hot chocolate, fresh croissants, ham and cheese (wish ud throw in a couple of eggs), very clean and neat, rooms are very comfee, its a very good choice but it is missing the lodge feel, i recommend if you want to be walking distance to main street but id rather stay in a lodge up in a mountain next time, this is top notch for your dollar and most likely the best in downtown!

Room Tip: choose PH room if available!

We returned to this hotel after a six year interval and found it even nicer following significant renovation and enlargement. Whilst the rooms are neither overly spacious nor luxurious, the hotel provides everything you need in addition to fabulous views of the lake and surrounding mountains. Bariloche is admittedly a bit tacky and touristy in the middle of the January peak season but it retains a certain charm, with plenty of options for trips out of town. Breakfast sadly is no longer the freshly baked scones and home-made jam that used to be brought to your table, but the buffet was fine. Also you should try the ice cream from the shop practically next door.

Hotel Tirol is a great choice for an economical hotel in Bariloche's downtown tourist area. The lake facing rooms have a nice lake view. The rooms are on the small side, but light and modern, very useable and pleasant. The staff are very nice and helpful. Breakfast is typical for Argentina, lots of sweet items, bread and toaster, some cheese, thin ham slices orange juice, tea, coffee. The location is great for walking the main tourist blocks and it's shops and... CHOCOLATE shops! For the economical price and outstanding quality of rooms and service I easily recommend this hotel.

This hotel is in an excellent location close to the main square. We had a small room on the top floor which gave us an excellent view of the lake. The problem was we were there in a very windy period which was also very cold and being on the top floor we could hear the wind whittling through the eves and the chimneys.
The breakfast room was large .and pleasant and the breakfast adequate. There was a problem with the arrangement of the furniture as some time you needed to walk right around the room to get to and from the buffet.
The staff was very pleasant and the young staff spoke very good English. There seemed to be a very family feel to the hotel. There were two small lounges near the front entrance.

Room Tip: Ask for room in the back to get a view of the lake

The view of the lake is spectacular, even if the view of the lake is around 100 pesos more. The location is awesome. One can rech everything in walking distance. The breakfast is reasonable, especially the croissants are great. The only disadvantage is the neighbourhood to the next hotel which apparently offers trips for highschool graduates who are singing at night.

Good location. Great View
We had a bit of a mix-up when we arrived - we had booked a room with a view of the lake - but it was sorted out efficiently and in a friendly manner. The room was well-appointed and very comfortable. The location is particularly good - close to the main square (and its excellent tourist office) and the main street with the shops and restaurants. As always it was easy to find the blue $ and we got 9.3
