“Best service I have ever experienced”
Reviewed 23 March 2010

This hotel has a central location just 100m from the city center. We stayed there for 10 nights and it felt like we where visiting friends who was only interested in making our stay as good as possible. The staff was fantastic. The rooms are quite ordinary, but clean and well kept. The only thing we missed was a fridge in the room and a little more variety on the breakfast.

The hotel is in a convenient location – close to the central square and main street. It has a private car park too which is very convenient. There is WiFi throughout the hotel
The rooms are small but as we were only staying a couple of nights we didn’t really care. If I was staying a week or more, I think I would want something a bit bigger.
The hotel is a bit old fashioned and I think they have had the furniture for a very long time indeed. It was all very clean though so I guess it doesn’t really matter.
Breakfast was nice and served in a lovely room overlooking the lake. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome.
It is not that expensive compared to some places in town and if I was ever here again for a couple of nights, I would happily stay here again although I thought that Bariloche itself was a horrible place which was a pity given its beautiful location.

The staff here are extremely helpful but the rooms are basic with a cramped shower/toilet. The phones accepted only incoming calls, there is no internet, although free WiFi is available. The continental breakfast was adequate although rather spoiled by an horrible orange squash that substituted for orange juice.

We traveled to Bariloche and wish that we had stayed longer because it is a lovely little town with loads to do in the area. We found Hotel Tirol on Trip Advisor and selected it because of price and location. The place is very small (which we like in a hotel) and right in town (so you can walk everywhere) and our room (the size of a cruise boat room) overlooked the lake. We had two singles (instead of the queen we requested) and had to hug the wall when one of us needed to get by the other but we spent so little time in the room that it didn't matter. And the hotel is extremely well priced. Breakfast was adequate (great coffee) and front desk (manned by Christina the owner) was friendly and helpful. We booked a boat trip in town (well worth the price) and booked a day tour over the internet with a private guide (Hans Schultz...Christina knows him and can help you find him...and he is absolutely worth a day's adventure) and just wish we could have stayed a few days longer. It was very chilly at night. Tango dancing in the square on a Friday night (which was some sort of celebration and probably not weekly) and lots of good restaurants to try (ask Christina...she knows them all and is a local). A terrific little hotel in a fabulous part of Argentina. I would go back any time. crmack123@gmail.com

Hotel Tirol is situated in a great location, close to the town and a beautiful lake. Staff was helpful and friendly, breakfast okay and the price was good. It was great that Christina can speak english because language is a problem in this part of Argentina. We booked two tours via the hotel and were very dissapointed that both tours were conducted entirely in spanish. The tours are not cheap so we felt it was a waste of money. It would have been better to hire a car and explore ourselves. We feel that the staff at hotel Tirol should have told us so taht we could have made the choice then. We automatically assumed English would be spoken to a certain degree. Other than that enjoyed our stay.

This hotel has great views of the lake from most rooms. One of the owners speaks english and is very helpful with restaurant and tour information. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Walking distance from downtown and bus stops. Take a remise to/from the airport about 1/2 the cost of a taxi.
