“Best way to see most of the water birds of the area”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 October 2013

This is a very neat nature reserve and makes a perfect programme for one of your easy days in the area. Open from 9am till 8pm, but if you arrive early in the morning you have better chance to see the birds and you can get in as the place is not locked. There is a good system of walking trails and very nice information boards with the most common birds that can be seen there. If you love birds - it is a must visit site and if you are just like to walk around in a nice surrounding it also worth visiting.
There is a look out tower to the lake and the mountains in the background are incredible! Enjoy!

An amazing assortment of birds. We were lucky to have a guide, a tourism student who knew a lot about all the birds in the sanctuary. Just lovely!

“Peaceful and special place”

So near the urban shell! (just 7 blocks) flamingos and many kinds of birds, perfect for a quiet (autoguide) walk (and after try 'choripan' in the place in front).

“Ok if you have some time to kill but not essential”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 September 2013

Its 35 pesos to get in and the place is just ok. Its quite pretty and there are a few birds and flamingos you can see at a distance. But overall, its nothing spectacular compared to all the other things there are to see and do in the area.
