When we arrived in Ushuaia I was not expecting such a fantastic location for a hotel. The situation of the hotel was on the shores of the Beagle Channel looking across the water to the mountains of Chile.
The restaurant was situated on the Beagle Channel side of the hotel. Watching Southern Giant Petrels whilst eating breakfast was not something I was prepared for. It was also a good place to see the changing weather passing through the Channel!
The backdrop was also impressive of snow covered mountains.
The rooms were very comfortable and warm, particularly as it was quite cold outside.
The breakfast was typically Argentinian and the evening meals were well prepared and again reflected their local origins.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

The rooms were clean and well heated.. Went down for breakfast at 8.30am ( times were 7 to 10) and there was nothing left. Asked for some bread for toast and was brought 1 slice. No frest fruit only orange cordial.. Staff were unfriendly, and resented being asked for anything. The place was practically empty except for a group on tour.. Maybe they don't like Australians .

Excellent hotel located on the coast of the Beagle Channel. The rooms are simple but very comfortable with a wonderful view of the Channel and the mountains. The common areas, restaurant, lobby and sorrounding park are excellent. Very friendly staff !
The hotel is 3 km. from downtown, but they provide a free transfer to town many times a day or if you use a taxi it will cost you aprox. 9 U$S only. All the tour services will also pick you up from this hotel free of charge if you want to go to any touristic attraction in the area.
Breakfast is simple, they don´t have fruits or hot meals and the orange juice is of bad quality.
The restaurant has very fair prices and good quality in meals.
I recommend this hotel to stay in a calm place with an excellent view, out of town.
The city is not very nice, so it´s really nice to be here in a quiet environment.

Room Tip: All rooms have excellent view. Some of them have yacuzzi in the room.

If you like to stay quite and want to rest, I think this hotel may suit your need. I found this hotel is like a place to rest, sit and relax during my trip, cause usually I stay in downtown hotel where I can easily have an access to bus, restaurant and so many things, but I felt like I'm in rush all the time. I have to admit that it's not as convenience as in downtown, but you'll some otherthings - The view!!. View from the hotel is really beautiful !!!. If you're not in rush seeing here and there, you will have time to rest and enjoy the view. I found it very relax. I like this place.

Hotel offers free shutter. You can ask for shuttle schedule at the lobby.
Airport: It's very close to airport, probably 10 mins.

Hotel decoration and room are nice. Staff at the lobby can speak English.

Bathroom: While booking, I didn't know that it has spa bath tub. However, once pressing the power button, I was so surprised that it has like long seaweed or alga came out from the bubble jet head. I think may be people using the tub to shower, but not many people using this spa power option. I rate this hotel as 3, because this bath tub problem, unless otherwise 4.

Restaurant: Price is ok, not that expensive. The old lady there speak no english, but she's willing to serve you everything as requested. She's very nice.

Breakfast: A variety of food is not much, but it's accpetable. If you wake up late there're less selection on the counter and they tend not to provide more, cause it's about closing time. This came from my experience, cause on my 1st day it saw some ham and cheese available, so I asked for more ham and got it, but have to wait a while. On the 2nd day, I saw no ham, but plenty of cheese. Once asked for ham, they said something like no more ham, so I have only bread and butter.

If I have a chance to go back, I will definitely stay here.

Room Tip: All rooms can see beautiful garden and lake.

The first hotel in Ushuaia of its kind, it still is hard to beat as far as location. The staff are very friendly and only happy to help. Waking up overlooking the Bravos Channel has got to a plus. The espresso coffee is also good. The rooms are as per any typical hotel room but the beds are really comfortable. Free wi.-fi in the communal areas.

Room Tip: See if you can get one facing the channel on the western side of the hotel

Seemingly geared more to group travel, the hotel is a pleasant if functional facility for a popular jumping off point in a Patagonia exploration. It is, one should be aware, 5 km out of town, in a location with a great view. They have limited free shuttle service to town, while taxis will cost roughly US $8 each way. The hotel offers solidly mediocre food, with spartan breakfasts that are deployed in limited quantities. Eat early before they run out! The dinner menu appears very extensive, but quality of preparation is haphazard, despite the enthusiastic efforts of the wait staff. Don't get your heart set on a food or drink item: it may not be available.

Room Tip: If your group travel takes you there, you will be fine, if underwhelmed. Given the choice, I would...
