We stayed one week in this very welcoming B&B at the end of the world! For us it was the perfect comfort zone and starting point for our several trips to the National Parc, The Glacier, Beagle Channel and many other adventures in the outstanding landscape of Tierra del Fuego.
It is surely worth to stay one week in Ushuaia - especially in the Tango B&B - though a lot of Americans use this piece of jewellery only to start their expensive adventure to Antarctica.

Their owners Raul and Christina are very sympathetic hosts, themselves like a Tango: Profound, passionate and dancing in step with their guests. Raul gave us a bunch full of recommendations concerning best steaks and fish in town (La estancia!), nice cafes (Ramos generales) and organised a lot of wonderful trips (http://www.tierradelfuego.org.ar/vallehermoso/trekk04.htm). One evening he lived the tango by giving us a very interesting performance through the history of Tango on his accordeon - wonderful!!!

The rooms are nice, bright, clean and fairly equipped. The view on the Beagle Channel out of the salon is outstanding as are Raul and Christina!

All in all, this B&B has character, a very good price performance ratio and foremost lovely owners. We will always keep this unforgettable stay in our minds. Muchas gracias!!!

Excellent hospitality and service from Raul and his wife- on top a really good introduction to the history of Argentinian tango - including beatiful music from the accordion.
Of cause all the basic stuff like breakfast, beds, toilet, noise-level etc. are absolutely ok.
I will definately choose to stay at Tango next time, i pass by....:O)

We stopped over Ushuaia en route to Buenos Aires and stayed in Tango B&B. The owners were very friendly and had given us excellent advice on what to see in the city and harbour. They also helped make booking for us to go on a boat trip to Beagle Channel, that was a memorable experience. The Tango show that night with other international patrons filled the sitting room with relaxing music and friendly atmosphere. All were given a glass of Champagne too. And they were all free. What a wonderful experience staying in Tango B&B.

Yes - it's at the top of a hill, but if you've done your homework you should know that. A taxi between the Tango and Ushuaia ( a bit like a frontier Town in the Old West complete with dust blowing everywhere and broken sidewalks!) was never more than $4. Remember it's a B&B not a hotel but the welcome is warm and friendly and the Tango evening was great fun. Our room did over look the Beagle Channel and Chile and the view from the balcony was stunning. Much better value than the hotels in town.

Room Tip: Ask for 'the ones with a view'
