We stayed one night at Bayview and loved it, will go back again for a lot longer next year. Weather was perfect, lagoon was lovely to swim in,close to swimming with the Turtles and coral reef for snorkelling. the accomodation is unique, an air conditioned room as well as open fales at the back with gentle breezes blowing thru the night, mosquito nets provided.
Rooms have everything you need and more, large bathrooms and comfortable beds. Decorated island style which is really nice to see.
Owner Sesilia was a perfect hostess, nothing was too much trouble.

Driving in to Bayview Resort you would never expect to find such a peaceful haven. The bungalows are surrounded by lava formations, planted with colorful vegetation and there is an amazing enclosed lagoon for swimming and paddling. The weather was particularly warm during my stay and I thought the lava rock would make things unbearably hot, but it stayed very cool; you could still walk on it, unlike the black sand beaches.

The rooms are exceptionally clean, although they may not have had that much character, with a nice little balcony for watching the ocean. This would be a nice vacation spot for a family with kids; the lagoon is very calm and great for inexperienced swimmers. I heard that you can paddle across to the islet and that there is a private beach on the sea-side, but I didn't get a chance to go over.

We have just returned from a few lovely days at Bayview Resort. It is a beautiful spot right on the lava fields and the gardens now growing on the lava are beautiful. I noticed they have also planted frangipani and other trees so it is only going to get more beautiful. At high tide it is a warm spot to swim. The other really nice part of this place is that it is away from other accommodation providers so on a walk up the road you see real Samoan village life.
The staff is friendly and Cecilia and her family are lovely people and very interesting to talk to. They happily got us anything we needed such as an extra chair on our porch and a table to put the suitcase on as well as picking us up.
It is very good value and some rooms are aircon. The ones in the front with the the total sea view are the special rooms although all rooms have a lovely view from the deck. My only beef would be there is nowhere to hang anything and the shower is cold .However this has been recently developed and is a work in progress.
All the timber has come from their own timber mill and they have a farm where they grow organic vegetables. We had then nicest fruit we had anywhere in Samoa at Bayview. If you are in Samoa for a rugby match they do have a tv and it did seem to be a problem to find one in many places.
While we were there were world travellers, honeymooners, NZ family with kids . The kids were having a ball exploring the rockpools and lava fields.
I am sure we will be back
