We stayed for 5 nights in Fale 8 just a few steps from the beach. The snorkelling is superb, and there is a swimming hole at low tide. This is a family owned resort , and every care is taken to ensure you enjoy every minute. There are only 10 fales and we preferred the uncrowded smaller sized resort. Excellent food and beverage choices with the most beautiful fresh tropical fruit drinks. In the evenings there is beautiful live music. They new we were from NZ and played our Maori love song which we sang along to.
There is a supply shop opposite selling picnic items and a pizza shop. The resort rents out cars so we enjoyed most of Savaii's sights in a day.
We were a family of grandparents and two grandchildren aged 9 and 12.
Fabulous resort, highly recommended, we will go back.

Room Tip: The even numbers are beach front

The English translation of "Le Lagoto" says it all. The sunset. Watching the sunsets were incredible and I envy the locals that get to witness it on a daily basis.
Staying at Le Lagoto was a memorable experience. They had fantastic food - a mix between western and traditional Samoan food. The rooms were excellent - at an international resort standard with a Samoan flare. The staff were very friendly, helpful and always with a smile.
We had a function during our stay, where the staff did a terrific job in setting up the venue as well as providing excellent catering services. I would definitely recommend Le Lagoto to anyone. To all the staff at Le Lagoto - Fa'afetai lava!

Unfortunately we could only return to this special place for one night as it was booked out for the rest of our time in Savaii. It has not changed since we were there in 2008 - this is a good thing! We had a magic day and night there. It was perfect in every way. The staff are friendly and can't do enough for you. The room is clean comfortable and has everything you need. The food is delicious. We were able to go to the fia fia night for my husbands birthday - it was fantastic! The pool, the beach, the snorkelling and swimming were all superb.
I would thoroughly recommend Le Lagoto for the most amazing relaxing getaway!

Room Tip: The even numbers 2-10 are on the beachfront with the odd numbers set back slightly but all the rooms...

The Le Lagoto on the island d of Savai'i, Samoa, is beautiful. my three sisters and i stayed here for 2 nights (not long enough) in the beach fale. The accommodation was clean and comfortable, AC provided, rooms cleaned each day, fresh towels etc. the restaurant has happy hour between 4-6pm, great cocktails! Food is enjoyable, the FiaFia feast night is a must for local entertainment, have to say the suckling pig was a bit tough though. the Samoans are peaceful and calm, sometimes a little too relaxed for us westerners. go there but stay longer!

Room Tip: Pick a fale closest to the beach,we had our own little pier to swim from (numbers 4 and 6).

I only spent one night at the resort but it is located in a beautiful part of Savai'i. The staff were very friendly, courteous and helpful. The service was very good and the standard of accommodation was excellent. There was a good variety of food options and the quality was also excellent. Definitely a great place to stay!

My partner and I spent 3 nights at this gorgeous resort for our birthdays and loved it! Delicious food, amazing sunsets and Jerry at the bar served up delicious cocktails at happy hour - there were about 20 to choose from and not just your run of the mill types. Snorkelling is awesome, crystal clear water and a variety of fish. Some of the ocean floor in front of the resort has been dug out so that guests can swim in deep water almost any time, no matter the tide. The rooms were lovely and clean and the staff super friendly. A walk along the main strip is a treat where you can spot lots of pigs and piglets and chickens running free and locals smile and greet you with a wave and warm Talofa! The beaches all along the shore are picturesque too. We met a lovely couple - Ian and Beverly, who love the resort so much they spend a month holidaying there every year! Thank you for your hospitality Ian and Beverly and sharing your knowledge of the island. And thank you Le Lagoto, would definitely recommend! Alofa!
