“not worth what you pay!”
Reviewed 16 August 2009

The best thing about it is the bar that you can swim to. When we arrived, there was no one at the reception and my partner had to go on a hunt to find someone. We were also really hungry, (it was at lunch time) and we were told we could'nt get anything from the resturant as the chef was busy... and to walk down to the little shop. We had bags of chips for lunch. Only had ONE hot shower out of the 3 days we were there, and when I asked was told this was normal. Cable didn't really work and none of the remote controlls worked. The Air con was a pain in the bum. The workers there looked like they'd rather be somewhere completely different. Except one, his name was Barry and really helpful. We were told the night before leaving there was a 12pm ferry, so checked out at 11am only to be told on Wednesdays there is no 12pm only a 2pm ferry. That was really annoying. and the food is a bit hit an miss too.... I would not stay here again!

Siufaga is a pretty good place to stay. My wife & I had a great holiday even though Siufaga came up laking. Great rooms, except why on earth would you have the beach front bungalows not have a balcony facing the deck (sea view only from back window -madness) Food extremely overpriced - I don't mind paying these prices for good , tasty food, but when it is ordinary & bland, well that leads to dissapointment.
This could be easily fixed if there was someone in the kitchen that knew or cared what Italian food tasted like. Understood the Samoans have a different palet then the visitors.
Mr Parenzo, you need to teach the chef what the food should taste like & make sure the chef maintains this. The beach should be made more accessable, scrambling over rocks to get to the best bit of the beach is ridiculous - just a few steps would do - nothing flash (this meant to be a resort after all). Lastly, Siufaga has plenty of rubbish bins, shame no-one uses them - might be a good idea to send someone out every other day to clean it. This is a beautiful place, it's a shame that shear laziness can take this beauty away. Siufaga has potential, just lacking effort.

Pretty garden setting, well looked after gardens.
Rooms had an ocean view if you looked out the back window! Why on earth didn’t they build the decks on the Ocean side of the bungalows!

Beach pretty average and covered in rubbish and rocks. Much good be done by the management to make the beach more accessible, as to reach a good swimming spot on this beach you would have to climb over slippy and sometimes feet damaging rocks. (Not so good for the older guests).

If as much attention was paid to the beach as there is to the gardens then it would make a tremendous difference.

Bland flavourless food, menu lacking variety, cooked by a chef that obviously doesn’t taste the food or just doesn’t care. Mr Parenzo needs to get back in the kitchen to retrain the staff. The food was a running joke among guests. We were forced to self cater or travel into town, just to get a taste sensation.

Staff ranged from very helpful(thanks Misi) to down right lazy (Barry).

Pool bar was nice but bar closed & unmanned for first 3 days of visit.
The cocktails sometimes seemed to be missing one or two ingredients. I do recommend the Lagoon Breeze, very tasty!

There was no check in and not anyone at Reception. The Standard rom was not very clean and the bathroom was in BAD need of repair and upgrade. The shower was dirty and in need of paint, the shower head leaked ,etc There was poor lighting for reading (nil by the bed). The garden setting was nice but the pool water was cloudy and appeared insuffiently treated. The restaurant food was pretty good but each night we waited over an hour for our meal. There was only poor Cardboard Cask wine by the glass. Staff were pleasant.

We are 4 couples who stayed for 6 nights in June to celebrate a friends birthday. The rooms were great and we certainly welcomed the air conditioning as it did get quite hot at times. The beds were really comfy which is very important when socialising late every night, But most of all the pool was just exquisite we were in it every day enjoying cocktails around the pool bar whilst sitting in the pool. What more would one ask for? The were very nice, but with only a small problem. They couldn't always understand what we were requesting as they're not too good on their english. We also did a bit of kayaking and snorkelling over the road at the beach, this was also a lot of fun. I will certainly let friends know about Siufaga when travelling to Samoa. I really enjoyed it.
Thank you to the staff for making this very enjoyable for us all.

Overpriced, rude staff, limited menu (without all items on list), no phone. Miserable start to holiday.

This resort has a lovely pool area with a bar you can swim up to which we loved, the rooms are beautiful and romantic with cool outdoor showers.
The restaurant was terrible!, with 8 things not available on the menu that night including even a salad or vegies!, no icecream for the kids and the food we did order all deep fried. We ordered a vegetarian pizza which came out with a kg of cheese and olives, no vegies what so ever!. Also no body really understands you so the communication is very frustrating!..... We checked out after our first night that we had originally planned to stay for 5.
