The first beach fales you will come across on the road into Manase. A warm welcome from the host family we felt completely at home. They set up our beach front fale straight away as we went for a swim in the gorgeous lagoon. Even though we were the only 2 people staying at the fales on our first night they still put on a feast for dinner of fish, chicken, breadfruit, cucumber and offered to make pina colada's the following night (her speciality). There are lights in all the fales, with mosquito nets and comfy mattress and pillows. Breakfast included a range of local fruits, banana fritters & toast. A few other fales in the bay have bar facilities if you fancy a drink and swimming, snorkelling & diving are literally on your doorstep.

We arrived just before tea time but they were happy to fit us in. We had a cute little hut right on the beach and they quickly made up our mattresses and then on to dinner. We were able to try a traditional Samoan Dinner overlooking the beach. The bathroom facilities were clean and we felt safe despite the open setting (the gates were locked at night). Get lulled to sleep by the sound of the ocean. We had a quick morning swim (don't forget your surf shoes - it is rocky in the ocean here) and then a hearty breakfast before heading off.

We loved the visual appeal of this place, the food, the other travellers we met here and the fales. The facilities and grounds were kept very clean and tidy. We were very fortunate to have half of the location to ourselves, but still have the company of the people staying on the other side of the fale grounds. The snorkelling was OK, right out near the reef, but you need to be careful with the tides. Better snorkelling at the next few bays around. There are only about 12 fales at this location with plenty of room. Other nearby fales did not seem to have a personal touch or the visual appeal. Was nice to walk all the way along the beach past all the different fale places.

Not really a service-oriented crew- you're a bit on your own here. People are friendly enough that run the place, but don't expect the warm hospitality you may find in other parts of Samoa.

Watch out for your welcome pina colada beverage served in a coconut. We were not told that it was not included- we were simply innocuously offered it and we accepted. Then we were charged 20 tala per drink. Not even the resorts charge that much for a mixed drink, and it was not very tasty.

Our fale had a lot of random bugs crawling around, mozzie net had patched poles which is good but there was still one hole so the bugs visited us throughout the night. Mattress and sheets felt moderately clean.

Bathrooms were just fine. Food was not so great mostly. Breakfasts were fantastic though.

Well-priced, easy-going option in the area.

Regina's Beach Fales are the best!! Have stayed at all of the Fales in Manese and the hospitality and kindness shown by Jacinta and her team of workers is the best. 10 females... a meal on arrival... and dancing boys to boot, what more could you want!! Even during a severe storm, she had the boys water proofing our Fales.. Very reasonable price and great food.. Thanks Team

These Fales are right on the beach, literaly step out of your Fale and onto the sand. The service we received here was the freindliest and most genuine of our whole trip. It is an authentic experience so don't expect 5 star luxury. The bed in a mattress on the floor and the shower is a pipe out of the wall. Don't let this put you off though as it is all part of the experience! Jacinta is now running Reginas and you can expect great food, service and excellent value for money. Keep up the great work Reginas!!

Room Tip: Be sure to request a Beach Fale.
