This resort had a great vibe, super location and one of the best sunset watching spots in Savaii. We really enjoyed the setup of our fale and the snorkeling tour was a highlight. Having dinner included in the price made our stay stress free but the dinner staff were very attentive, which is a good thing if you enjoy that. Overall, a great time and staff were very flexible with check in and check out times.

Room Tip: Fales are a great experience

The hotel staff were Amazing. So kind and would go out of their way for any guest.
The breakfast and Set dinners were standard. The rooms were good for where the location of the Lodge is. This place does not have a pool but does have beach access, be mindful their are a bit of rocks. This is a rock/ lava area of the Savaii Island. Beautiful untouched island, simple, peaceful. We travelled with a group of 16 and had children aged between 7yo to 18yo.

For an outline of our trip round Savi'i, see review of Satuiatua Beach Resort.
Va-i -moana:
While the nearest to a resort, “Happy hour” daily brought pressure to buy from the many hovering staff – hard to resist on holiday! The chef varied his menu, often with fish fresh from a boat just in to the jetty. Best of the 4 by far for entertainment at dinner, very good guitarist 3 nights a week, a pleasure to listen to.
Clean, serviced showers (with heads!) and toilets.
Swimming and snorkeling- of the 4, had least vision and areas of cold water (a bit of a shock after 30 minutes in the water). We record our underwater sights by a GoPro so vision is important for us.
There's a cocoa factory across the road which supplies Whittakers in NZ. I am now addicted to Cocoa Samoa!
Of the helpful staff, Nu'u stood out - always engaging and involving guests.

Stayed here for a week with some friends. Food was great, staff were beyond excellent and the location was perfect for a chilled, relaxing holiday that still gave you plenty to do. The Lodge also put on a range of activities in the week to help you explore the area and learn the local culture, including a brilliant fia fia night on Friday.
Staff made us feel like family, would go back in a heartbeat. 10/10 make sure you dont miss this place!
Thanks to everyone there, from Brad, Matt, Amy and Jason!!

Room Tip: Open fale option right on the water.Sea breeze and ocean sounds made sleeping too easy, with perfect sunrise and sunset views.

Me and my husband stayed here for our honeymoon. We stayed in the sunset waterfront fale and had a view! A big thing this sets this place apart from the rest is the staff. They were genuine and were always wanting to have a chat and show you more of their beautiful culture. A big thanks to Nuu who was in charge of the daily activities. He was amazing to listen to and great stories about his culture and growing up. We went on a visit to a preschool which again was very special. The staff catered to me well being a vegetarian, husband who eats seafood commented on how fresh it was. Then on the last night the staff organised a special surprise dinner for us on the beach! We left feeling that we had a special connection to this place that will keep us coming back for years to come. It was truly a very special and cultural experience that we will never forget! The only thing i would not recommend is the boat trip out the island to snorkel. It was very rocky and not much fish to be seen. We snorkeled more in the lagoon and saw plenty of fish there instead. Thank you again to all the staff for making our honeymoon extra special!!

Room Tip: go for one of the sunset fales with an ensuite
