Stayed here 3 nights. The rooms were lovely and loved the outdoor shower. Was a bit disappointed that the pool wasn't in operation and when we went to check in they couldn't locate the key to our room.
The housekeeping staff and waiting staff were very friendly and accommodating. Great breakfast. Watch out for Suzy thefriendly cat as she tends to sneak into the rooms and we forgot that she was there and we locked her in.

Talofa Lava,

And thank you for taking time out to share your thoughts about your stay here at Le Manumea. We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay here with us. Apologies for the pool inconvenience. We are definitely working on accomodating our guests in that area by reserving pool maintenance at a time most suitable for our guests.

Hope to host you here once again,

Fa'afetai tele lava.

Great place to stay tucked away in the hills! You'll need a car to get around but a very good and reasonable place to base yourself from during your stay :) Luna and the staff are very friendly and super helpful!

Talofa Lava,

Thank you so much for your feedback. It is indeed a great pleasure knowing that your time spent here at Le Manumea was a delightful experience. Yes, we are definitely out of the way for particular tourists that prefer a inner city experience, however our location is desired & sought out by many who wish to dwell in a unique, special, and (as you mentioned) great little get away.

We do hope that someday you return to our home in the hills, as it would be our sincere pleasure hosting you once again.

For a 2 night stopover in Apia, La Manumea was just a bit out of Apia but one of the nicest we saw. Only a 10tala (NZ$5) taxi ride into town. Staff were exceptionally nice and the food excellent. Fia Fia night superb. Only thing we didnt like was the rooms were a little dark, but large and well appointed with kitchenette, luggage racks and outdoor bathroom. (vanity and toilet under shelter) but shower in open (very private though) No hairdryer but reception loaned me one when asked.
Overall, we think La Manumea a good choice for a stay in Apia.

Room Tip: You walk through the gardens to get to your room. Ours was about the furthest away from the recepti...

I was lucky to be taken here by a friend to attend the show and buffet dinner on a Thursday night. Enjoyed every minute. Real value for money. Lovely venue. Show was very entertaining. Similar to the old Margrey-Tas show, but better. Dinner was delicious.

We travelled in April to Samoa as a family with 2 children, 12 & 7 . We chose Le Manumea for the personalised reports we had read from other visitors and we were not disappointed. On our first night Luna was already introducing us to some family friends.
We wanted Le Manumea as a base not only for visiting Upolu but also for Savaii. We hired a car from Le Manumea for a week and left most of our luggage behind, whilst we left for 4 days in a Falé on Savaii. Everything went very smoothly, We had paid all in advance and there was never any discussions or confusion about inclusions or not.
As is mentioned by nearly all reviewers Luna and her staff are very friendly and helpful. Both rooms we stayed in were large and it was no problem for a family of 4. The location is good, cooler than in Apia, although you're in Apia in 5 minutes. Not being there is not a problem. The property was well kept, the pool was good for the kids after Mount Vaia. Recommend the Fia Fia night. If we return to Samoa we would stay again in Le Manumea

Have been to Samoa several times for business and love the facilities at Le Manumea. The location is on the Cross Island road with views but it's just a couple of minutes from the centre of Apia (the main town). The rooms are very large (with king size bed) and there is both air con and a ceiling fan. The outside shower is a real treat too. Luna the owner runs a terrific restaurant on site which includes bar as well. Go the seafood option any time you can - you'll be very pleased with the quality. She also has a new service where she provides you with a mobile phone to use for any local calls for the duration of your stay. Saves on having to get a sim card. Great place for a business trip or a holiday.
