“Best value in Samoa”
Reviewed 1 July 2013 via mobile

I travel to Samoa regularly, I've stayed in the resorts and in the budget hotels, but I now choose to stay at the Marina. Tanya, the manager goes out of her way to take care of you. The rooms are clean and comfy and the cafe is excellent. Anything you need is taken care of.

The proprietors of this hotel, convenient to the harbor and good restaurants, provided round the clock hospitality. They were even so kind as to give me a ride to the very distant airport when my flight left at a time when no taxi drivers were working (the wee hours after a Sunday). For a very reasonable price they provided a very clean room with air conditioning, a fine breakfast with nice fresh eggs, and plenty of advice and assistance about getting around Apia.
Nearby Palolo Deep was available for communing with lovely tropical fish and a beautiful pool on site was available for those less ambitious. Excellent internet connection was available with purchase of a login and password 2 doors down at the ice cream parlor. There was a noisy night club nearby that was only a problem for light sleepers on Saturday night.

Our first trip to Samoa for a weekend we wanted to be central and this hotel is. Very clean, lovely staff, basic rooms but tea and coffee facilities in room. Good shower and Air con. Port Taxis over road very cheap and friendly. Our room was at the back and although the strip was humming on the friday nite we didn't hear a thing.Had the pool to ourselves both days.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back seemed quieter.

The best place close to the harbor with hot water & kitchenette facilities & a huge pool. Clean and well kept. Management 'accommodating' of our needs when making a room selection. Close to Palolo Deep for snorkeling, gourmet seafood restaurant and nice walk along harbor Only problem was noisy partying by the pool & had to ask them to turn off music at 2 am, despite staff having joined in. It happened to be our first night after a no-sleep flight the night before. Also, found staff quite unapproachable.

I had a great stay here, the hotel staff are beyond amazing and helpful. They were very accommodating and must be one of the best places i stayed in samoa. Great value for money , the rooms are all have a/c and ensuite bathrooms. The rooms are cleaned to a high standard an the free breakfast was great. I really loved getting to know the owners , they were amazing people who always greeted you with a smile an went beyond duty to help you out. Also ladies the chief here is quite good looking an is reason alone to travel here :) for some good eye candy . Also great location right across road from marina bars were you can get a quick bite an drink, and walking distance to X club ( samosa night club hot spot).

We spent just one night at this hotel on our return from Savaii before our return flight to NZ.

The location is great, although front rooms can be noisy as it's on a busy road.
The room was clean except for an ant pile in the bathroom.Otherwise the bathroom was great and the shower terrific.

We were very disappointed in our breakfast. The hotel advertises a tropical breakfast (always includes fruit) and we were served a boiled egg and 3 pieces of dry toast (Samoan bread is tasteless). I was served coffee with milk. I was not even asked if I had milk in my coffee - I don't.
We asked for a late checkout - there appeared to be just one other person staying in this hotel and were refused although they did babysit our bags for 2 hours.

They have a swimming pool and tea and coffee making facilities in the room.

Room Tip: Corner rooms upstairs are great although get noise from the busy road. Before staying ask about the...

I moved to this hotel after one terrible night at Tatiana Motel near the bus station. The location is perfect - near the sea port, on the street of good bars and restaurants. 15 min drive to Robert Luis Stevenson Museum. I paid just 99 tala for a single AC room. its very competitive price. The manager Tatiana is very friendly and helpfull organized great tour around the island. Many thanks. Only one thing which i dislike was the swimming pool. its a slime on the pool floor.
