“Nice white sand, but be prepared to pay some money”
Reviewed 17 August 2014

We stopped here on a drive around the island. Very nice white sand, kids got out and run straight to the beach and before you know it were asked to pay about $30 just to be on the beach!

I understand its the village land, but just to swim at the beach (did not use the Fale) its a bit steep.

But overall the swim was good, snorkelling was not the best as majority was broken coral but still seen some fish.

“Said to be the best beach in Samoa, certainly did not disappoint”
Reviewed 13 August 2014

The most intense feeling of "stepping into a postcard" that I have ever had. The perfect weather for the duration of my stay helped, but the golden/white silky sand, turquoise water of the lagoon, swaying palms, off shore island view, tropical fish, quaint and quirky accommodation in the fales, great food, friendly locals and tourists and utterly chilled out no hurry no worry vibe here is hard to beat. There are lots of lovely beaches in Samoa, the best thing here is the all tide swimming in the deep but safe lagoon. The only downer is what would have once been incredible coral here was largely wiped out in the 2009 tsunami and is very very slowly coming back, but in this respect the underwater life is a little disappointing if you are an avid snorkeler.

LOVED that it is white sand and amazing swimming, also the local fales are more than welcome for you to drop in and have some food and a drink.

“Just like the postcards”
Reviewed 12 July 2014

Can't go past this beach for breathtaking beauty. The snorkelling is not great due to the destruction of the coral reef in the tsumami in 2009, but there are still fish down there and signs of the coral starting to regrow.

“Nice for a swim”
Reviewed 11 July 2014

Saldy the coral is all dead here now, but it's nice for a swim.
You'll pay a lot for a day fale here, but worth a visit.
