“Tranquility in Arizona”
Reviewed 18 February 2014

What a little gem this place is. Thanks to Rob for his warm welcome and the wine glasses! This ranch is so peaceful and tranquil after a frantic few days in Las Vegas. We didn't see any horses but the whole place had a great atmosphere and it was lovely to sit out on the porch in front of our room and watch the sun go down. The room was cosy and clean, with free wifi, all be it a bit patch. The bed was really comfy and the heater kept us warm throughout the cold night. The only thing I would ask would be hot drinks facilities in the room but we found a great diner down the road for breakfast. The ranch has a number of little self contained bungalows and BBQ facilities in the 'garden' area. It was great value and I hope we can get to Arizona once more so that we can stay here again.

Went to the Bluegrass Festival there last night. Was a great venue. Had a personal tour with property manager. What a fun place to visit. Seventeen acres of history. Rooms were rustic but very clean. Everyone was very pleasant and helpful. Looking forward to going back and spending more time. Although they are still working on renovations, it was still an exciting adventure. Can't wait to go back and spend more time at this lovely historical ranch. John H

I cannot say how much I fell in love with this oasis in the desert. If you are driving across country camping, stop here. If you need a place to hold a spiritual retreat between Phoenix and Tucson so that people from either city can come. Come here. Time slowed. My best friend and I talked, looked at nature, read books in all sorts of lovely stops, and soaked in the pool. The manager took us on a personal tour of the grounds and I could imagine how much it took to get it to the rustic elegance it is currently at. There are trees all around, where just outside in town many have been chopped. It is secluded, quiet. It would be fun to mingle with other people around the campfire. It is homey like staying at Grandpa's ranch. Staying here allowed me the reverence for the owners and workers that you often do not feel when staying in a hotel. You can feel the love put into the place. I loved that there was no TV to speed up time, but we certainly had the wifi to post the wonderful videos we took of the place. Weather was perfect, which is a far cry from the excessive heat usually found this time of year in the cities of Az.

Room Tip: All rooms are different. Your family can stay in one hacienda with multiple rooms or if you have a r...

This lovely Arizona guest ranch is a perfect retreat for guests to escape for a quiet getaway. The charaacter and charm really illustrates and maintains the historic qualities. a perfect stay whether it be for one night or a weekend getaway. The General Manager takes pride in not being too cookie cutter and having guests experience subtle unique touches of the Southwest in each room. A small staff were very attentive, very friendly and made us feel like family. They also created a positive environment all the way around. The grounds are truly beautiful and incredibly well maintained and spotless. This guest ranch is relaxed and the guests were also respectful and friendly.on this quiet oasis in the desert. The location is actually quite convenient to Tucson and a nice car ride up to Phoenix. Perfect retreat without the modern ammenities to enjoy the lovely surroundings and events.

Room Tip: I spoke with the general manager who can explain whatroom was suitable for our getaway...
