Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights in April 2010 for business. The hotel was very clean, well maintained, and the staff was very friendly.

The room had a small refrigerator, microwave, safe, flat screen television. The room was well maintained and clean.

The hotel also a small, but sufficient pool and jacuzzi. The outside area was also very clean.

The free breakfast was actually a very nice surprise. Much better than I expected, lots of food to choose from.

There is a Chili's restaurant directly in front of the hotel, easy walking distance. Ate there one night, one of the items was very salty. Management was very apologetic, and took the item off the bill.

I would stay here again, and recommend it to my friends and family.

This is a nice almost new hotel in the very north part of Oro valley! Waaaay north! Clean, friendly staff and fair breakfast. TV volume would only go so high, ands on some channels was almost unable to hear. If you have things to do in Tucson and south, it is a long way. round trip to airport is almost 70 miles. Good thing I had a an economical car to drive.

We made reservations at the Wingate a month in advance. We were travelling with a very large group (group rates) for a statewide athletic competition. Somehow, despite having been given the group rate for the special event- the front desk had placed our reservation for the previous month. They informed us that they did not have a double room available at this time. They did however offer us a double room at the nearby Hilton (much nicer) at the same rate. Unfortunately, we were travelling with the team and needed to be at the same hotel. Wingate did find us a room with a king bed and a sofa bed. Management did admit their mistake and apologize for it, they also tried to make it right. I commend the management for their effort.

The room: Door definately needs worked on- it didn't want to latch/ lock. Breakfast was pretty limited. One day there was no fruit of any kind.

We were pleasantly delighted with this hotel! It was unfortunate that we stayed at the Holiday Inn in Tucson, (Palo Verdi Rd) which was absolutely discusting! Had we known....The king bed was very comfortable, extended breadkfast was good, accessibility was perfect. And the price was unbeatable! Thank you Wyndham for excellent all around everything!

We stayed four nights. First night we werent able to sleep due to loud neighbors, they gave us a different room for rest of stay. Very pleased with everything except for thin walls! Not best hotel for small kids, but really is there one? :-) Very thankful for wide variety of breakfast foods. (complimentry) beautiful hotel, beautiful views!

I traveled with a friend to escape the cold of N. Az and ride our horses in the desert. We booked on line and for the price the hotel was nice, clean and looked very new. We were keeping our horses at Pusch Ridge Stables 4 miles away so the location was great!
The check in staff was friendly and had no complaints until check out. Check out was at noon and we were running slightly late (got into our hotel room at 12:12) and the cleaning staff was already there. What's worse is all of our belongings had been packed up and were gone. However, they did forget several things like phone chargers....We went to the front desk and asked about our thing and they basically, rudely brought our things to the desk. They had packed up our things for us and sent the cleaning crew! We felt very violated and put off for getting the boot for showing up 12 minutes after check out. I've done a lot of traveling and have never had this happen! No apologies were offered and we were told that they had already checked us out. Trying to give benefit of the doubt I asked if they were full and they said they were at less than 50% capacity...I guess they were in a big hurry to turn the room over so it could sit empty.

I am very apologetic...but our check-out is actually at 11 am.There was a zero balance due and quite often when persons have no balance due they just leave the room not informing the desk. Regarding the items left in the room , it seemed because there was actually no luggage, but a smaller bag and some smaller items, it was determined that these items were left behind...(Which is a very frequent occurrance!). Again my apologies for the misunderstanding.
