“Unbelievable Service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 September 2010

I just came back after spending Labor Day Weekend 2010 at the Sanctuary Camelback. I was originally supposed to be in Bermuda but changed our plans with the various hurricane and tropical storms approaching the Atlantic. I have to say, I may not have been to a place with better service, nicer people, and people just willing to accommodate and help you in any way they can. And they never seem put out or have an attitude. If they hate people's requests, they never show it. I really can't say enough how nice and helpful everyone at the Sanctuary were. I'm not one who writes many reviews or lists the employees when I do, but they were the best. As for the property, it was great. It's not a huge property, but it was just a perfect place to relax by the pool, take advantage of their spa, and just relax. That's what the goal of the weekend was and the Sanctuary delivered. We did not go into town much or sample many of the restaurants. We just had a real relaxing, fabulous time at a great property.

This was the best hotel in Scottsdale that I have ever stayed in. Anything and everything that you could want was here. Staff was very accommodating. They even offered to open up the gift store so that we could purchase some items. They knew what you needed before we did.

Wanted a weekend getaway to simply relax and enjoy some splendid views. This place certainly fit that.

Set on the backside of Camelback Mountain, the room provided some very breaktaking views from our room. Being from Florida, the landscape is surely foreign to us, but pure and relaxing.

We loved it that it wasn't one giant building with a ton of rooms, but more like little townhomes scattered across the property.

The room was very nice. The bed was *extremely* comfortable - we slept over 10 hours our first night. The sheets and pillows incredibly soft. The room comfortably dark with a nice sitting area to enjoy the back view.

The restaurant provided some very nicely prepared and tasty meals. Ordered in breakfast one morning and it was worth it. The Jade Bar gives a great Happy Hour wound up being our dinner the first night.

The staff is very nice and they your name. Concierge helped us locate hiking trails on the mountain behind us that wasn't too strenuous for us. The hike was nice and gave some great views. (bring water! and good shoes - but you can handle it).

The pool was great to relax in the summer heat.

Didn't get to enjoy the spa services - but that will be next time. A great, private weekend away for us.

One might think you could get tired of the same resort...but it is not true of our many trips to the Sanctuary. We have stayed at a spa casita twice now - and the outdoor soaking tub is to die for..... The spa is fabulous and the tennis clinics always offer a new tip you can use. Even in the August heat, a morning at the pool is relaxing - with pool service always available to keep you well hydrated. Last but not least is the food at Elements.....awesome! The staff to guest ratio leaves you feeling pampered at all times. We look forward to our next trip!

This resort came highly recommended by my friends from the Phoenix area and it did not disappoint. The service, food, drinks, atmosphere and hospitatity was phenominal. My husband and I enjoyed seven nights there so we really got to see what Sanctuary is all about. I recommend getting up early one morning and hiking up Camelback mountain to enjoy the views even more.

My recent stay at Sanctuary was incredible! I can honestly say that not one part of my stay was satisfactory- every part was AMAZING! From the moment my boyfriend and I drove up to the valet on day #1 to the minute we checked out on day #4, we had huge smiles on our faces. We felt like royalty in our plush room with the fabulous decor, comfortable bed, beautiful views out our window and great ammenitites all over the resort. Everyone was so helpful- from the maids to the pool servers! We never had to worry about a thing. The fitness center has the best equipment, the food was delicious (Elements is such a delicious place for dinner! Great for special occasions!). We never waited for anyone to greet us or attend to us, we never had a question they couldn't answer and I never felt troubled. I travel a lot professionally and personally, so I know from experience in many different hotels, resorts all over the country what good service truly means and Sanctuary nailed it!!! Can't wait to go back!!!
