“Enjoyed our stay”
Reviewed 31 May 2014

We stayed at the Lodge for two nights either side of the River Runners rafting trip. The room was very clean and comfortable. I was disturbed by the trains the first night, but got some ear plugs and slept well both nights. It was very good value for money and the staff were friendly. If you are visiting attractions in the area it is a good place to stay.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the car park side.

Hello,

So happy to hear you had a nice stay! It is a great place to stay when doing the only one day White Water rafting in the Grand Canyon. Yes, the free earplugs are appreciated by all our guests.

Best Regards,
Nancy

We spent one night her last week prior to a white water rafting trip on the Colorado river, also run by Hualapai reservation. Both the lodge and rafting were excellent, friendly and helpful staff. The lodge was basic, but clean and the food was, again basic, but tasty and quite cheap. All round top marks for both the lodge and the rafting

Room Tip: Try to reserve a room on the side away from the railway, as trains are frequent throughout the night

We stayed at the Hualapai lodge the night before our hiking trip to
Havasu falls. The lodge is very nice,
clean and my friend and I got a very
good nights sleep. Did not hear the train after I fell asleep. (Ask for a room on the street side). Staff was very friendly.

Thank you for your review! We are also a great place to stay after hiking out of Supai as we have a nice hot spa to soak those muscles and relax after a day of hiking!

We found the lodge to be a very comfortable, clean, well-appointed place to stay for two nights. Our dinner meals were quite good. The continental breakfast was okay. We both got good nights' rests.... the train traffic was really only noticeable if one was awake enough to hear it.

The lodge is really the only thing going in Peace Springs, but that just offers an opportunity for guests to relax and, perhaps, enough a beautiful sunset. Having stayed in a couple so-so places prior to our arrival in Peace Springs, we enjoyed the lodge's peacefulness and cleanliness all the more.

We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the front side of the lodge if you're at all concerned about the train noise...

Hello,

Thanks for your review. We do recommend requesting roadside if you are sensitive to train noise. We are working on a sound study to see the alternatives for us in reducing noise on the train side of our hotel.

Best Regards,
Nancy

I was apprehensive about our stay here, due to the comments about the train track running behind the hotel and the trains having to sound their horns every 15mins. I am a light sleep and even I was not once disturbed by the trains! We did request a quieter room, which is at the front of the hotel near to the carpark, and we had the aircon/heater on all night as a bit of background noise, even without ear plugs we slept undisturbed and had a great nights sleep :-)

We stayed in a lovely large room, nicely furnished and very clean with HUGE super king bed! The furnishings were nice, kind of rustic with lots of big pieces of wood - and we had 3 chest of drawers, large dressing table, chair with foot stool and built in wardrobe. There was a Huge counter in the bathroom, fab for girls and their toiletries :-P The lighting in bathroom was very good and shower works well. The bedroom was a little dimly lit, but we turned on all the lamps and this worked well. Room even had a night light which was great as then don't need to turn on the main lights to use the bathroom in the middle of the night!

There was no fridge in our room, I only write this as it surprised us all other hotels on our travels up the Pacific Coast Highway and through Yosemite etc have all had fridges - and this is in the extreme heat just after Death Valley so we had kind of grown to expect a mini fridge/freezer in the room.

A continental breakfast was included in the price and this had a good selection of cereals, fruits, muffins and mini cake thingys, porrige, juices, hot drinks etc. I opted to pay the $5 (+ tax!) extra for a hot breakfast and really enjoyed my bacon, sausage and hash brown :-)

Definitely eat here at the restaurant if you are ever in Peach Springs! The food in the restaurant is excellent! Large portions, reasonable prices, fast and friendly service and absolutely delicious food. We recommend the beef dinner with mash and vegetables and especially the Hualapai stew - sublime! We were very tempted by their range of pies and milkshakes but were just too full to manage anything else - my only complaint about the restaurant! lol

The Wifi in our room was excellent, best so far on our travels up the coast and through Yosemite and Death Valley. Plenty of parking, welcoming reception area, lovely staff throughout hotel cannot recommend enough, ice provided and laundry facilities - $1 in quarters per wash, and 50cents to use the dryer.

We would definitely recommend this hotel if you are ever passing through the area - or like us making a special trip here to do the Hualapai River Runners rafting tour, which is also excellent (reviewed elsewhere).

Room Tip: Request quieter room at front of hotel, away from train tracks for an undisturbed nights sleep

My Friend and I stayed here for a night while visiting the area. The service was great, breakfast was nice (toast, fruit, yogurt. Etc.) and the bed was very comfortable. We will totally stay here again.

Thankfully we found this place after checking into (and right back out of) the Grand Canyon Caverns Inn which is about 10 miles from Peach Springs. The staff was very friendly and helpful! They offer a free continental breakfast, however it doesn't start until 6:30 am, but if you are looking to get an earlier start on your hike, they have an "early riser" breakfast available for just $5 which includes a hot breakfast sandwich, fruit, yogurt and juice. You just let them know the night before by 9pm and pick it up at any time you designate. The rooms were clean, updated, and beds were comfortable and even though there is a train track near the hotel I never heard it once! There is a full service restaurant connected to the Lodge and also a gift shop which also sells essential items for travelers/hikers. Additional amenities include an outdoor salt water pool and hot tub, ice machines, vending, and coffee makers in room. If you are looking at staying at the Grand Canyon Caverns Inn since it advertises "closest hotel to the Supai Falls" DON'T do it! Stay here instead, it will add only 5-10 mins to your drive in the morning and you will be well rested and have many more services available to you, and it's the SAME price! Thank you Hualapai Lodge!
