We stayed at sunglow for 4 nights with friends, and a good time was had by all. From the moment you arrive the scenery takes you breath away and you realise you are in a special place. The casitas are very clean and tidy, the food was excellent and there were plenty of choices. Nothing was too much trouble for Brooks and his staff, and there was plently of information of local attractions if you wished to venture out. So if you want to get away from it all for a few days sunglow is a MUST.

Dear Rachel and Ted, Anne and Paul,
You're very kind to take a moment and write such nice things! So glad that your trip from England to Arizona was an enjoyable one. Susan and I, and our entire team enjoyed getting to know you. It's been fun to watch from a distance the big year you've had in England! So many wonderful moments to celebrate between the Olympics and the Queen's Jubilee. (Although you'd probably like to forget about digital cameras and super-telephoto lenses...)

Warm wishes from Arizona,

Brooks

We have stayed at Sunglow twice and loved the resort experience both times. The casitas are spacious and we enjoyed the privacy they offer. The restaurant on site offered excellent choices for both breakfast and dinner. The cook even made some special cookies for me, as I am not a fan of chocolate chip. We hiked the property on our first visit and enjoyed the pool and lake on our second visit. The manager was very attentive and made sure all our needs were met! Sunglow Ranch is our favorite escape in Arizona!

Room Tip: We like the 2-room casitas!

If there were a heaven on earth it would be Sunglow Ranch, especially during Monsoon. This is their slowest time, but gosh is beautiful! The weather is great! Creeks and flowers are abundant.. its amazing. My family thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The hospitality and service is SO wonderful. They were always accommodating to us and my little ones. We found it easier to eat outside with my little guys, Sunglow didn't blink an eye.. they were more than willing to set us up. There were bikes for my sons to enjoy and quiet time for the adults. I'd recommend the Sunglow Ranch to anyone looking to relax, enjoy themselves, be pampered and fussed over. :)

Dear JEDICA,
Thanks so much for your kind review! The pleasure was ours!

We agree wholeheartedly that this quiet corner of Arizona is both spiritual and heaven-like. It means so much us to that you feel this way too. At this time of year, guests are quite surprised with how green and lush everything has become. In fact, with a little rain each day now the old ranch tractor is getting a real workout as a lawn mower.

Thank you for helping us to pass the word that even though it is summer in southern Arizona--Sunglow's elevation (5,340') and our immediate proximity to the mountains provides very comfortable temperatures and humidity levels.

Come back soon!

Warm regards from all of us at Sunglow Ranch,

Brooks

My husband and I had a wonderful time at Sunglow Ranch. The setting is gorgeous; you are surrounded by green mountains, lake, horses, deer, and bright star filled skies. Since there are only about 12 or so casitas on the property the atmosphere is relaxing, private, and quiet. The staff if extremely warm and welcoming! Brooks and his wife Susan manage the property and do a wonderful job at it! The are extremely accommodating and kind. The food was delicious and the pool/jacuzzi was awesome. We would defiantly return to this place again!

If you like the idea of checking out a biodiversity hotspot while enjoying great accommodations, Sunglow is for you. We favor the summer monsoon (July and August): spectacular thunderstorms and lots of animals out and about. During our visit last week, we added two birds to the life list: Montezuma Quail (just outside of Sunglow Ranch) and Arizona Woodpecker (Cave Creek, an hour away across the mountains). On an hour drive just after dusk one evening, we saw a Ring-tailed Cat, Kangaroo Rats, a Western Diamondback Rattlesnake, many Tarantulas. During our travels back and forth from hiking during daylight hours (including two excellent walks in Chiricahua National Monument) we added Blue Grosbeaks, Orioles, Phainopeplas, Northern Cardinals, a couple of very pretty red Coachwhips, a Black-tailed Rattlesnake, a Gopher Snake, several Gartersnakes and four Western Box Turtles. We started each day with breakfast at the Sunglow cafe and ended each day with a swim in the pool and dinner at the Sunglow Cafe. What a great trip!

Dear Guests,
Thank you for this great review! We appreciate your taking the time to write and tell others about your experiences. It is always instructional to have professionals arrive as guests and point out the many species that call these Chiricahua Mountains home, both flora and fauna. Nature is all around us here, providing a very unique setting. We want to reassure prospective guests that we will do everything we can to provide adequate distance between them and a few of the species that you've listed!

Warm regards and thanks from Sunglow Ranch,

The Sunglow Ranch is the perfect place to escape the heat, enjoy the beauty of the Coronado National Forest and indulge in delicious food and wine! The rooms are outfitted with the highest quality bath products (L'Occitane) and luxury linens. The staff was oustanding -- Brooks is knowledgable, thoughtful and a connsumate professional. There is a wonderful winery, Lawrence Dunham Vineyards, within approx. 5 miles and we enjoyed exploring the vineyards, too. We will definitely visit again!
