“Perfect Location”
Reviewed 21 May 2014

We stayed there for five nights on vacation. We chose the hotel due to location and pet friendly. Hotel is clean and quiet. Water pressure wonderful. Rooms are fairly small for the cost. There is a daily fee ($20) to park your vehicle. Though, they advertise being pet friendly, all doors are interior doors. You must get on the elevator, take it to the ground floor and then walk two blocks to find an area for the dog to potty. The walk can be quite hot on their paws depending on the time of year you are visiting.
Nearby restaurants and just a few blocks from Chase Field.
Nice place to stay, but would probably not stay again if our dog is with us.
Staff were friendly, though were not aware of where you could walk your dog when asked. We found the park on our own.

Dear Kathy,

We welcome our four-legged friends; unfortunately the hotel is located in the very center of the downtown area. Having said that, it sounds as if we could have done a much better job of helping you to navigate to a convenient area for your dog to take his breaks. Thank you for that feedback, which we can now use for staff training and other improvement in this particular area. We appreciate that kind of feedback very much! So useful in our continual quest to provide exceptional service to our valued guests…

Other than that, it sounds as if you enjoyed your stay. We are delighted that you found our staff to be friendly and the hotel clean and quiet.

You sincerely hope you – and your four legged companion – will visit us again. Your business is very much appreciated.

Warm regards,

This Sheraton was clean, quiet, and has a nice gym inside. The pool was also a nice place to relax during the day. Close to transit and also has friendly, professional staff.

Overall, up to the standards of previous Sheraton hotels I've visited... If you're happy staying with them, you wouldn't be disappointed here.

If you're looking for a different experience, there are, however, many other options for the same or better value.

Stayed here for 4 nights. got a room at the very end of a corridor. Room was nice and tidy, allthough smaller than american standard (plenty according to european standard :) ).
My only problem was a really bad internet connection. I think it partly was because of the position of my room, but I had to log in again and again. Another thing is that I think it is wrong that you would have to pay 15 USD pr night for internet connection. It should be free!!

I would not stay here again, but it is only because of the internet connection.

Room Tip: stay away from rooms in the very end of the corridors! (bad wifi there)

We are so sorry that the internet connection during your stay was unsatisfactory and impacted your stay in a negative way.

We completely understand the need to stay connected during your travels; both how important that is to our guests and how frustrating it is when you have trouble making that connection. For that, we do apologize.

We have one of the largest bandwidths in the entire valley here in the hotel and our IT department is constantly evaluating the hotel’s internet/wireless needs. We would have loved to have tried to correct the problem for you while you were here….

We thank you very much for the valuable feedback and we would love another opportunity to be of service.

Warm Regards,

I stayed at this hotel on business for a national meeting. Staff were friendly and efficient. Internet access was complementary and worked well in the room. There was a refrigerator and safe in the room, as well as complementary bottled water. Catering service staff did a great job. Hotel is located near the ASU campus, and the surrounding area is very scenic. There is shopping and food court across the street from the hotel entrance. Walking around the city near the hotel was pleasant and safe. The area is clean and the gardens are attractive.

There are great advantages to this hotel, like the proximity to the airport and several attractions in downtown Phoenix. Unfortunately, on the negative side, this is a huge hotel clearly geared towards conferences, and I found that the individual customer got lost in the shuffle during my stay. As with lots of hotels these days, there's much 'nickel-and-diming' here, as in the pseudo-Starbucks ('Link') in the lobby where I paid almost five dollars for a bottle of iced tea. The lobby wireless is practically useless due to tremendous throttling of download and upload speeds. The wireless supposedly available in the rooms was useless too as I could never successfully connect. I ended up using a wired connection in my room, which cost $15 a day and was only marginally better than the lobby wifi.

But the worst part of my stay was, rather surprisingly, the housekeeping. I like to have my room made up early so I can return in the mid-afternoon to relax and freshen up. I called to request early service the day after I arrived and was told it would be taken care of. Unfortunately, I had to call again when I arrived at my room at 3:30 pm and found it exactly as I had left it in the morning. This exact scenario was repeated two days later, when I returned to the room with a splitting headache. And each time the room was made up, it seemed very little effort was put into the job.

Although my room was of a decent size and had a great view, I won't be returning to this Sheraton. The poor service really soured me on the place.

I stayed at this property for 1 nights on business. It is very centrally located downtown with easy walking access to many restaurants and sporting event.

The hotel is very large, so elevator waits can tend to be long during high traffic hours and when the hotel is full with conferences etc.

The rooms are clean, nice and comfortable. It was also very quiet. 28 floor and the view was excellent

The club lounge was fine. It had pretty decent selections at breakfast and evening apps. Don't expect much.

Self Parking was $19, average for downtown location. I did not look for another other choices.

Room Tip: High floor for good views.
