“Good hotel, better restaurant”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 June 2014

Stayed here for 5 nights for a business trip and found this hotel up to the Sheraton standards. it was conveniently located to the con center, had fast Wi-fi, clean rooms. I really enjoyed the view from my northern-facing(?)room in the 1420's block. During a packed con I saw long lines at the elevator banks for the higher floors 18+, but never for my floor, so that was a huge plus.

The gift shop was charming and the staff was very helpful with my tacky tourist questions and even helped me pick out the least dorky hat for my times out in the sun. The best part of the hotel was the District restaurant which had a fantastic lounge space and a delicious late-night menu of sliders and bacon wrapped dates. Cocktails were a little weak but at least they were an attempt at something nicer than EVERYTHING that the bar options at the nearby Hyatt (sad sports bar was sad) and Renaissance had to offer. The breakfast was delicious too! Green chile cornbread eggs Benedict were so great, I didn't feel guilty ordering them two days in a row.

The only real complaint I had was that the towels and sheets were truly scratchy and awful and cheap. I felt like the towels left a film of fuzz all over me and it was gross. But in the scheme of things, since I wasn't paying, it was okay overall and I'd stay here again.

We are happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay and that you found District restaurant to be such a great value.

We have a great culinary team and the menu offerings are brand new, so how nice to hear how much you enjoyed how everything tasted. The team will be happy to know…

Thank you again for your business and your recommendation.

Had a horrible time at this hotel. This is normally the hotel we stay at for comicon, but after all the issues and the way we were treated never again. From slipping in the shower, to finding a bra in our room. Nothing was comfortable and the beds felt like plastic. Also i understand hotels do authorizations, but my card got authorized six different times. Will choose another hotel to stay at for comicon next year.

We apologize for your less than desirable stay during what should have been an enjoyable annual event. We loved hosting the Comicon event.

If there is anything we can do to change your mind about staying with us again next year, we would love another opportunity to provide you with the kind of service that we know the Sheraton Phoenix is capable of providing.

Again, we are so sorry that you did not enjoy your stay. Customer care is amongst our highest priorities and in falling short in providing exceptional care to you while here, we do genuinely apologize.

Thank you for providing us with valuable feedback.

Warm regards,

This hotel is located right in the heart of downtown and is in walking distance of many attractions and restaurants. It has a shopping center directly across the street for shopping and dining. The staff were outstanding and super-friendly. Their car staff were amazing and helped us get to wherever we needed to go with the best rates. They made sure that the taxi drivers did not overcharge us.
Our only negative was that the cleaning staff were very slow and were on our floor for several hours before they were able to clean our room and then took over two hours to clean our room which had been barely used. Other than that, great place to stay!

Great hotel with great view looking, but mostly enjoyed the beautiful sunrises facing Camelback Mtn. Professional and courteous staff, which made my stay enjoyable for a national conference. Loved the locations with great restaurants within walking distances.

Room Tip: I opt for the extended stay with limited/no linen change services, in exchange for Sheraton points...

Green Features: Very courteous and professional, willing to assist of any questions/concerns arise.

This was the last stop on a two week road trip I did. We were flying out of Phoenix so debated between staying in Phoenix vs Scottsdale since its so close. I'm an SPG memeber so I read the descriptions on their website and it seemed like there were things to see and do in the area and figured might as well since its just a few minutes from the airport and we were only staying one night.
The staff was very friendly but they flat out said there is nothing to 'see' in the area. We spent most of our day in Scottsdale. Besides that the room was fine, normal. The other bummer was we went to the pool and were hoping to take a dip in the jacuzzi that night but it had caution tape around. We asked if it would be open before the night ended but sadly it wasn't. Overall just an ok stay.

We were sorry to have you for such a short stay, and also sorry you were not able to connect with our Concierge desk, where they would have been able to better direct and point you to things in the downtown area that would have been of interest to you.

We do appreciate your business, the feedback you provided to us, and your kind comments about our staff.

Thank you for choosing us on the last stop of your road trip.

Warm Regards,

Very small room with only the basics. No free WiFi, mini fridge or microwave; the only true convenience was an in-room coffee maker. What it comes down to is: it's just a room, just a place to sleep and leave.

The air conditioner was powerful and circulated well around the room. Unfortunately, it felt as though the fan blew directly toward the bed, which was distracting while we slept.

From the 27th floor, our room looked downtown toward the north -- certainly nothing spectacular. The location is convenient if you are attending a conference in the hotel or if you have business nearby.

Self parking was $19/day and navigating their underground parking garage can be a challenge. Parking stalls are small and the driving lane corners tight, particularly as you near the gates.

Overall, the service was friendly and the hotel interiors were clean, but it would not be someplace I would want to stay again, particularly with so many better options in Phoenix.

Green Features: Guests can receive a $5 voucher for the hotel restaurant for every day they skip housekeeping.

I stayed at the Sheraton Downtown Phoenix for an IT conference. This hotel surpassed my expectation on every front.

The restaurant on site is a pleasant surprise. Excellent value, good selections, outstanding service.

The front desk staff is extremely helpful. I was offered an upgrade without asking even though I haven't stayed at a Sheraton for years.

Then I was upgraded to a suite when they found out about my birthday! Thank you for making my birthday away from home a pleasant experience. The suite quickly became the operation central for my team during this event:-)
