The Aloft has a cool, modern vibe. From the techno music and pool table in the lobby to the sleek hotel room--nice desk space, good internet access, and HD TV. The bathroom area was exceptional. Separate sink area with Bliss products and big shower with a class door.

The location of this hotel is somewhat odd. It is truly near the airport but the car rental return was more than 11 minutes away. Also, the only restaurant in the area was an Apple Bees type place. I ended driving about 15 minutes to eat in the Biltmore area. That said, I would stay here again. I imagine all Phoenix Airport Hotels share similar issues.

Aloft properties feel clubby in a Euro styled character. You'll know the difference as you walk into the chique somewhat edgy, euro-styled lobby - the bar and lounge and pool table are inviting. Without exception, the staff will greet you warmly. I was especially impressed with desk clerk Nancy who went out of her way to assist and share a smile both days I was there.

The attempt at trendy-Euro styling has a down side - they play some irritating form of Techno / disco INCESSANTLY, day and night. I had to actually ask to have the volume turned down as I ate breakfast in the garden ( they really need to tune it down during the day ). All else was very positive.

This hotel is RIGHT next to the light rail station. Downtown and the convention center, ball field and all else, is an easy, $2 ride. The light snacks, sandwiches and snacks in the lobby are fresh and diverse. Breakfast, while a little off in pricing was fresh and tasty. I will gladly seek these out in any city I can.

Room Tip: might want room up high to appreciate the mt and city views ( it is Only 6 stories ) north facing ro...

Not a very quiet hotel, but until last night, not horrible either. Sure, the safe was broken, and hotel staff said the only remedy was to switch rooms, but that wasn’t a deal-breaker either. Last night was horrific, though.

There’s some kind of biker event in town, and this hotel must be on a “main drag” because all night long, there were loud cycles up and down the road. The hotel’s at a stop light, so they sit and idle for a few minutes, then rev up nice and loud when the light’s green again. And there’s at least one participant staying in the hotel — nice guy has had his bike running for about 30 minutes now right outside my window.

If there is any kind of motor event in town, I wouldn’t stay here. All the traffic is going to go right by the hotel and keep you up all night.

Room Tip: There’s not one, unfortunately — it’s not a large enough hotel to have a quiet spot in it.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We regret to hear of the disturbances you experienced during your recent stay with us. While there may have been an event in town, Aloft Phoenix Airport does not affiliate itself with any particular motor group, association or event that may be occurring in the Phoenix area, so we apologize for the noise issues you had to endure. In the future, please reach out to our front desk and our associates will provide you with the necessary amenities to mitigate the situation and make your stay as comfortable as possible.

Nice place to stay if you are a tourist or a business traveler. This one is a good location close to the airport but also very close to the 202 freeway and the 143 and easy to get to Mill Ave if you want to go hang out there. They are also pretty close to a Costco if you need to gas up a rental car. (It's only like a mile north of this Aloft on 44th.)

The rooms are efficient... not a lot of room but comfortable and functional.

Pros:
There is a small fridge under the sink.
They provide shampoo/conditioner and body wash in the shower.
The rooms are modern and efficient.
They provide a small coffee maker in the room.
The pillows are fluffy.
The linens are on the soft side... not hard like some hotels.
There's a big flat screen TV in front of the bed.
They have a small but very nice fitness center complete with free weights.
They have a small but very efficient food, snack bar area that serves up made to order egg breakfast sandwiches. (Highly recommend this... only $4.)
They have a full bar and a pool table in the lobby area.
The check-in/-out is smooth and quick and friendly!

Cons:
The bed wasn't that comfortable... a bit too firm for me.
If you didn't run the A/C... the room got stuffy fast. But the A/C also killed my sinuses since my allergies are running amok so I'm dried out and sniffly at the same time. Ugh.
The shower water pressure wasn't that great.
The shower water temp was not consistent throughout the day. Thankfully, in the morning it was pretty hot but in the evening it was only "warm".

Stayed from March 16 to 22, 2014 on a business trip. The housekeeping was virtually non-existence. I had to request the front desk to make sure that the room was turned down properly. The empty Tea Cups with tea bags etc would be lying where it was left in the morning. The bed bed when made up would be full of lumps from the Duvet. The bed sheets used were not ironed. It appeared it was stright from the Washer/Dryer crumpled and put the Bed.
Would never stay again.
Have given a Single Star as the front office was courteous.

We apologize for the experience you had during your recent stay with us. We have addressed these issues and management has expressed its concern to our housekeeping team. These issues are far from the high standards Aloft Phoenix Airport upholds and will not be experienced in the future. Again we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you and we hope the rest of your trip was a memorable one.

We were relocated from one hotel to Aloft due to facility problems. The front desk people could not have been any more accommodating and welcoming. In the morning, they made recommendations for our day and arranged for our cab. Great people make this place special.
