“Nice place, like other reviewers”

We got there after dark but I had no qualms: it was well lit, it's on a main street, you can park right in front of the office. We were checked in quickly, given our room key ( my one pan - the keycard was in an obviously re-used paper sleeve). We found our room (103) clean, the room appeared to have been recently repainted, the bedding was clean, the bathroom was also clean. My wife liked the shower, though small, it had a nice soft spray.
There is a fire station on the side-street (4th St.) but it was totally silent the night we were there.
I'd stay there again. Good value for the money; clean; easy to find.

We stayed here en route to the Grand Canyon from Tombstone, it's about the halfway point. I have lung problems, so we couldn't stay near the Canyon because of the elevation. The bathroom was spotless and new, the beds were adequate for one nights stay, the staff (I think it's all family) was very friendly. The breakfast was something like granola bars and coffee. Not a great location, but after viewing the rest of Phoenix, I don't really think there are any nice locations there.

The rooms here are inexpensive and clean, exactly what we needed for this stay! It is a budget hotel with no frills, but that's what we needed for this trip. They are simple rooms but they are clean, quiet, and comfortable. There was a fridge included in ours, a huge closet, and a walk in shower. The TV has all cable channels, which you can't always get when you stay at a hotel! The service at the front desk was excellent. They were able to accomodate all of the members of my husbands volleyball team on the same floor even though we arrived seperately. They were polite and offered assistance with where to eat and visit. They do not include breakfast with your reservation, but the woman at the front desk always put out coffee, OJ, and a snack in the morning. It saved us a ton of money compared to some other friends that were in town for the volleyball convention.

A good investment. We'd read the reviews on TripAdvisor and got everything we expected. Clean, comfortable, affordable place to stay and a convenient location.

The unexpected bonus was the new bathroom with luxury shower. It was as good as you'll find in many 3- and 4-star hotels!

The staff was kind and helpful, even remembering us on our return trip a week later.

As seasoned travel agents my husband and I were looking for a simple inexpensive room to use as our central location to see various areas around Phoenix. It was a wonderful experience for only about $53 per night & still within walking distance of hotels charging in excess of $200. Dan (the owner/manager) and his wife were gracious hosts, helpful & accommodating in every way. For example, when we returned from a day out and couldn't get a space in the lot, Dan moved his car to enable us to access a parking spot on hotel property. Has any other hotel manager done that for you lately? The breakfast, though modest, gave us a good send off each morning and the rooms were spotless. Microwave, refrigerator and wireless internet were added bonuses. All in all, we came away with a very positive feeling about this property especially in light of the economical rate. Would definitely stay there again in the future. Emily

stayed 3 nights to attend 3 baseball games at chase field. Was about a 10 minute walk to the stadium, room was spacious,CLEAN, no bugs. Had a microwave, refrigerator and tv. Hotel is kept up good and if you get hungry theres a mickey d's right down the street. Also close to the arizona center for food/movies.10 minute drive to phoenix zoo so def. plenty to do. Neighbor hood is fine, at first looks kinda shady but it really isnt. Nice hotel staff, gave us water after we walked back from a game so that was nice. I would def. recommend this hotel, no reason to stay downtown and pay 200 a night when u can get a better deal at this place.

The Budget Lodge Downtown in Phoenix, AZ is indeed a very nice, clean and economical place to stay at. I would go there again any time without hesitation.
The W-Lan is remarkably fast. The bed is hard enough to get some good sleep!

The breakfast offered leaves room for improvement. This, however, would not keep me from going there again.
