“Poor Plumbing and housekeeping”
Reviewed 6 March 2014

The plumbing ang housekeeping were poor. Found dirty towels in room upon check-in. Soap bar was used in sink with towels. Commode did not flush all the time. Poor smell although it was a smoking room, I am non-smoker. It was the only room available.

After traveling to Phoenix 13 times in 22 months, baseball spring training, forced me to look beyond my favorite HGI. I was pleasantly surprised by this Embassy Suites. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was clean and well appointed. The view of the golf course and the mountains to the south was terrific. The location of this property to the airport and its proximity to local freeways is excellent. The area immediately around this Embassy Suites is highly developed with any business or restaurant one could need while on vacation. There is even a nice mall across the street. I'd definitely consider staying at this Embassy Suites again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the golf course and the mountains.

This is my 2nd visit to this property which is located on a great golf course (unfortunately I did not get a chance to play or use the excellent pool or spa). We were so impressed by the accommodations, friendliness of the staff and the surroundings on the 1st that we booked our second stay there. Both times, we had one of the 2 room suites with a closed off bedroom and sitting room. The privacy afforded by having a separate bedroom allowed both of us to relax after a busy day without disturbing each other. The 'complementary' made-to-order breakfasts and the daily evening reception were a welcome change compared to some of the breakfast options offered by other chains. Of course these are part of the cost but the on-site dining facilities allowed us to entertain friends without having to leave for another restaurant. Lastly, the service from the restaurant, bar and hotel staff was impeccable,

Couch in our suite was VERY old, I did not want to sit on it. The bed was comfortable though. I paid $190 a night, which I don't consider a good deal. Yes, you get free drinks at the managers evening reception I suppose if you are a big drinker that would be appealing, but the snacks are tortilla chips, salsa, and cheese curls. Fresh omelette breakfast was fine, but the cook should be told that people prefer crisp, not soggy greasy bacon that was on the buffet. I ordered a reuben sandwich for lunch in the restaurant and it was terrible. There are a zillion restaurants in the area, so just go out for lunch. I would never stay at this hotel again, but would recommend you shop around.

As with most Embassey Suites, they all appear to be makeovers from the original property. This one is no different. Property is a bit dated, rooms small by today's standards but a decent bang for the buck. Very appealing breakfast buffet (OK, forget those frozen bagels though) & good free happy hour. Service was very good, rooms were quiet and grounds were very well kept. Business center is a bit of a joke with only 1 computer (they informed me the other one was stolen--well go down to Best Buy & get another one). Located on a golf course that is well maintained & inexpensive as well--only $29 twilight rate. Place appears to do a large conference business.

I had visited the property for my company team meeting and we booked 15 rooms. The Hotel is good very centrally located and have all possible amminites. The Gym is small but has all necessary equipments. the breakfast is great and give an nioce view of people playing golf with a lush green view.

On customer service and reception they could do little more as when asked for an printout they asked me to do it myself by visiting business center and i believe they could have offered to help here a little better.

Room Tip: Get a room on top floors on golf side

We have stayed at this hotel many times and find it to be comfortable and fun for the whole family. Love the morning breakfast and the variety of food choices including the cooked to order items. Only issue we have ever had is when all of the soccer teams take over the hotel for the weekend and it is very crowded and noisy.
