“Very comfortable and affordable”
Reviewed 6 June 2014

My husband and I stayed at the Clarendon Hotel for 6 nights in May. It was a very good experience. The hotel staff we all very friendly and always did their best to answer all of our questions. We have to give a shout out to Denny! He was awesome. The only complaint that we had was that the pool area was not always accessible. They had a lot of activities going on during our week there such as what appeared to be a model shoot and we didn't feel comfortable going into the pool when they were shooting scenes in it and the hot tub. Also they had a big art exhibit going on and the chairs were all removed from the pool area making it impossible to use the pool. Other than that we have no complaints and we were very happy with our stay

Room Tip: there was no spa other than a hot tub that we were told about. We were on the pool side and never fo...

This is a funky little place with a relaxed feel and a colourful vibe.
The rooms are big and well stocked. You pay a fixed fee of $20 per day for access to sofa, water, snacks but it's worth it, particularly if you're lounging by the pool which is one if the hotel highlights.
Another highlight us the restaurant which does the most amazing mexican inspired food.
The light rail is close so you're nit totally dependent in cabs or cars.

The rooms are big and the bathroom is clean. The crowd seemed more like a holiday crowd and the staff was also dressed in a more funky way than traditional hotels. This has been renovated recently I felt.

This place is unique for sure. May not be for everyone but I loved it. An oasis among all the chains that dominate the landscape in greater Phoenix. This is a breathe of fresh air! Stayed here for 4 nights for Spring Training and can't wait to go back next year! The staff is amazing-so helpful and friendly. The pool and hot tub area is cool. Think we went 2-3 times a day. The rooms were nice and fully equipped with all the little things like Keurig coffee machines, bottles of water, etc. The rooftop is a great place to catch sunset with a cocktail. The real hidden gem here is the amazing restaurant/cafe/bar attached to the hotel. It is ranked #10 of all restaurants in Phoenix. It is delicious for both dinner and breakfast and the bartenders are absolutely the best! HIGHLY suggest going in!

Please note there is a $20/day fee but it means you get as much bottled water, keurig coffee cups, tea, soda, candy, chips, granola bars wifi, parking, etc. Did not mind paying as most big city hotels can charge as much as $40 just for parking or $10+ for wifi and $4-6 for a bottle of water.

I love The Clarendon! This boutique hotel has a lot going for it -- fabulous food, super fun pool, friendly staff, comfortable rooms. I stayed here numerous times previously when I was a Phoenix resident for weekend "staycations". After a brief hiatus in San Diego, a job brought me back to Phoenix. There was a delay in my home (and my mother's apartment) being ready for us to move in so we got to spend a glorious week at The Clarendon. There was no other place in Phoenix I would have chosen. I will return for future "staycations" to enjoy the great pool vibe and wonderful food.

Room Tip: They are all good!

This place was a last minute find. My son was graduating from high school in downtown phoenix. I ask someone where would be a cool place to take him to eat and they suggest Gallo Blanco at the Clarendon Hotel. The food was great and after a few drink I decided to get a room. The room was accommodating and clean and the retro vibe was cool. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I cant wait to stay there again very cool experience.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the pool have a great view of the city sky line
